Expiring Dictionary word domains alert script - in here

What the script does:
  • Downloads daily the 15MB database containing all expiring .com .net .info .edu domains for the next 5 days
  • You select only the TLDs that interest you.
  • Checks every single entry for being a dictionary word, and if found calculates its Google PageRank, Alexa rank, and number of backlinks in Google, Yahoo, and MSN
    *NOTE*
    1. The pagerank calculator is an advanced perl module that uses the command line (not a web/php interface) and as such, does not require any Google API key and is thus rate unlimited (according to Google)
    2. Bashing the search engines for backlinks on automated scripts is forbidden and will get your IP temporarily banned. This script circumvents this problem.
  • Emails the output in a logical formatted HTML table to your email

See an example html output for all dictionary words expiring from 17-22 February: HERE

Included with the script, is a web-based form to check the database for words other than dictionary words, with domain analyser for PR and backlinks for selected domains.
Check out the web form HERE

Price $50 via PayPal - installation included.

dependencies:
perl module LWP::UserAgent
php compiled with pspell support

To those of you using version 1.25 or lower - with the new .us .biz .ca .org domains, if you hit the dictionary script removing lastdate checks to many times, Google will blacklist your IP for 24hrs. v1.25 and above has 328 dictionary domains in the database (out of a total of 290,961 domains) :)

I tested it with 5 concurrent hits, and got my server ass banned :)

Implemented new throttling to throw off Google and added script locks so the script cannot be run more than 1 at a time. I'll test the throttling tomorrow once my IP becomes unbanned.

If you want to download it yourself and try, the new version is 1.26

The new alphabetically sorted dictionary .com .net .info .biz .us .ca .org .edu list (with no Google counts due to blacklist!!) can be viewed HERE
**Note this list will remain static and will not update as new domains become available - you need to buy the script for that!!**

This is the version history for those that want to know:

Code:

        - Alexa, Google PR, Yahoo, and MSN held up to the test
=> Added random time throttling to backlink checking to try confuse Google's bothit detector - to test tomorrow

****

=> unlimited hits against Google DB and no need for API key :)
Seperated download/search from dictionary.php

****
1.05
****
2007/02/12
Alexa rank, and Google/Yahoo/MSN backlinks are now logged for dictionary domains
Only new domains appearing in the database will now be logged and mailed
        - no point readvising user of domains they already know about!
        - also reduces significantly the number of SE queries
        - ~50 new dicitonary domains/day come up

****
1.00
****
2007/02/10
Cron job to run dictionary.php and mail html output to defined email
dictionary.php downloads Snapnames dbase and (~200k domains) searches for dictionary words

borked 02-18-2007 06:19 AM

Just in case some are wondering why adult/sex/apple.com are in Sample HTML - these domains have been added to the bottom of the database list, and hence the PR/Alexa/Yahoo etc links show that the script is not being blacklisted, as these are the last domains to be parsed.

Some not bad dictionary names there...
firmness.net
milked.net
ovulated.net :Oh crap
nonresident.us :1orglaugh
unpaid.us

Remember, the domains on the sample html are pulled from a static database - if you want to be informed of such things, it's only $50 to buy the script.

***For those that don't have PHP built with pspell, the next revision will take care of you :thumbsup ***

What makes this better than www.clickmojo.com?

Huh??? It's the most basic of basic web forms. You can't get a more basic webform - it shouldnt crash anything.

At what point does it crash? submit? analyse domain?

1. It gives you dictionary word domains
2. It's only $50 as opposed to $2,000 for their script purchase.

3-Char etc domains will be added to the search form on the next minor revision.

borked 02-18-2007 07:58 AM

OK, Google unbanned the server (3h ban) and I just blasted it with the new throttling system and I remain unbanned.:upsidedow

So, unlimited wacking of the PR checker and now all is AOK with the search engines, as seen for the PR and backlinks for apple.com, adult.com and sex.com, which were the last 3 domains to be checked out of 290k :thumbsup

New Sample Dictionary domains output here

1 PR3 .ca dictionary domain in the list, for those that like that kind of stuff...

borked 02-18-2007 08:00 AM

BTW, if you give me some URLs to other search engines that let you directly directly linkbacks, they can be added...

Brujah 02-18-2007 09:31 AM

The Web Form crashed Firefox. Try any keyword and hit submit. It was throwing out tons of errors that would keep scrolling the page.

The HTML output looked really nice, but the web form kept erroring.

borked 02-18-2007 10:08 AM

Whooooaah. Sorry about that :eek2

Yeah, I hadn't updated the webform since updating the dictionary script (v1.25+) to use the larger database, and as there are shared functions, well, you know the rest.

I'll get onto it right away, and update the script to search for all the new tld's

Sorreee.

borked 02-18-2007 11:26 AM

OK, it's fixed and incorporates .com .net .org .info .biz .us .ca .edu domains now

Also, now you can search for fixed-number character domains (eg 3-char, 4-char etc) :thumbsup

Don't forget, the demo site is using a static database and so all the domains will have expired in 3-5 days... if you want the script for yourself, it's $50 with free installation, free support, and free updates :winkwink:

Mr.Right - Banned For Life 02-18-2007 11:33 PM

nice script, going to take a look

MoreMagic 02-19-2007 06:38 AM

Bump for a great product, thank man, the script made the cost back already :)

borked 02-19-2007 11:52 AM

thanks for the kind words folks and a huge thanks for the support given by those buying the script. It's made me hugely motivated to add new and great functionality to the script for version 2 - free upgrades for those that have purchase it.

Due to what I have planned for v2, it may add a $25 to the now $50 price for new purchasers, though vers 1 will still be available as it is now for $50.

If you purchase vers 1 now, you get free upgrade to vers2 when it comes out.
Things to look for, are saved query searches for daily email digests, selecting numerous search results for mass PR/Alexa/linkback searching, option to save domains to check them for availability when they expire, if you think they won't go to auction, larger datasbases. Stuff like that.

Buy it now button is up at http://www.corecoder.com/expiring/

Again, thanks for the support guys, and I'm very happy that you're loving it!

borked 02-19-2007 02:57 PM

for those wondering if the script is compatible with their server,

download
http://corecoder.com/expiring/check/compat.phps

copy the extension to .php and then run it on your server...

If all checks get the green light (orange is ok, with some modification to the code by me) then everything is GO!!

Nothing that could be packagd into an individual product. I've mainly chunks of useful code I use myself, but others won't find useful, and custom projects for others which I am not at liberty to sell on.

This one not to your liking? :winkwink:

borked 02-20-2007 01:52 PM

For those script users that are only searching for .com and .net on their dictionary names mailer options, turn it on the others if you want to pick up domains with with high PR!!

an example:
Code:

Domain      Expire      PageRank  Alexa Rank        Backlinks
                                                    Google  Yahoo  MSN
xxxxxxxxxxx    21-FEB-07        5          0      529    1,871  22

:pimp

The PR search feature is well within Google's rules - it is not a web-based PR search, but is a command line perl script and so doesn't require an API key.

It has been written by programmers at UC Berkely and has been designed to hit Google with PR queries. It fail if you try to run it from a web browser.

look at this:
http://www.informatics.indiana.edu/f...s/i427/a3.html

Quote:

For example, you might run your script like this: pagerank.pl links.db pr.db to mean: use the outlinks in links.db, compute PageRanks, and store them in pr.db.
I have hit the 290k+ dbase 1 at a time for PR and every one wen tthrough without bloacklisting (as well as Alexa) - this functionality is now being incorporated into the search function and will report PR and Alexa on all search results.
