What Would You Do If.........Major Dilemma
 

I have a friend who was a prison officer for 5 years. He quit his job to find a "normal" job.

He found a job as an electric/gas meter reader, which involved knocking on peoples doors and reading their electric/gas meters so they can be billed correctly.

Imagine his shock when he knocked on a door and an ex covict opened the door. He was in prison foe being a paedophile.

They both recognised each other, and acknowledged that they knew who each other was.

The dilemma is does my friend let any of the neighbours know who is living amongst them??? The ex con has served his time, so should he be left alone to get on with the rest of his life???

I know what I would do.

If the guy is a sex offender and he's legally required to announce himself then by all means he should speak up. Otherwise if he's not registered then it could go either way. People gossip about neighbors for all kinds of shit, at least this isn't about something inconsequential.

Nowadays I would check what crime he did..there are kids getting the pedophile label cause they were 18 and screwed a 15 or 16 yr old...
