Organic means shit, and im sure the minimum wage hippies working at the health food store where you can grind your own really take as much precaution with thier machine as does a national chain.

It is a small damn batch, limited sku numbers, and honestly what the fuck do you expect the Government to do, lab tests on every single food item produced each second of the day?

Look for the lot number on the lid beginning with 2111 and throw it out. I told someone to go look and she had TWO jars from that lot number. One mostly gone.. nobody's been sick in her house though, thank god.

i'd take it back to the store and get a new jar or save it for a lawsuit, throwing it away is the wrong choice.....:2 cents:

I don't buy peanut butter at a health food store, you can get it at any reputable grocery. And I'd trust anyone making food organically before I'd trust some faceless multinational like ConAgra. And hey, guess what, organic peanut butter tastes better! But its OK, I wouldn't expect you to understand, after all, you drink fluorinated water, right? That kills brain cells.

Organic or even just plain self ground does taste better but again it means shit when it comes to contamination.

Yes 300 sick is very small in food terms and since peanut butter is mostly consumed by kids and older people both at a higher risk.
