American Leadership and Wars[graph]

Which presidents and political parties were responsible for America's deadliest wars? To what extent can you blame a president or a political party for choosing to go to war? This map may hold some answers. It illustrates the history of American war from 1775 to 2006. War is a necessary evil. Politics, however, shouldn't be.

Surprised?

No, that site isn't biased at all.

Really? How is it biased? It looks like just a site with a bunch of historical data. Maybe a bit too much like a book for ya huh? Filled with too many "facts".

Rochard 02-15-2007 09:42 AM

Everything is subjective and you can twist facts and stats around to make them say what ever you want. Just because a certain president was in office for a war it doesn't really mean much - What happened in the prior eight years that led up to it?

Agreed, but Democrats claim they come from a position of peace, which obviously is NOT the case.

Damn that hurt. I have educational credentials...do you?

Matt 26z 02-15-2007 10:40 AM

Republicans didn't even want to get involved in WW2. We will never know for sure, but if they had gotten their way Hitler may have been able to invade the US.

Nookster 02-15-2007 10:40 AM

Blah I don't feel like arguing. Sorry for being rude splum.

Pardon was that supposed to be a statement on how biased that site is? All your "educational credentials" dont help make you right when you are obviously wrong.

You can say the same about the Democrats and the war on terror, maybe if the Democrats get their way maybe extremist muslims would be able to invade the US?

TSGlider 02-15-2007 12:05 PM

Cool movie.

Splum 02-15-2007 02:43 PM

Bump for cutting and running

uno 02-15-2007 02:59 PM

USA enters WWII 1941 - Franklin D. Roosevelt was President and had been since 1933
USA enters WWI 1917 - Woodrow Wilson was President and had been since 1913

Drake 02-15-2007 04:12 PM

WWII is considered by many to be the only noble war ever fought by America because it was about self-preservation, and less about politics.

And you are trying to imply what exactly? We shouldn't have been involved in them?

You are obviously no genius. What president was in office means nothing. And if you are trying to imply that ww1 or 2 was something we shouldnt have gotten involved in. you are dumber then i already think you are

Dont get mad because Democrats start the most wars and kill the most people.

WalterWoot 02-15-2007 07:38 PM

Lolz. This is sad! The thing is this: It doesnt care if the fukin president is democrat, republican, or martian. The problem is the dumb-blind ppl that believes all the shiet that goes out of the politicians and the dumb-box(tv). You should see USA from outside boys... A 99% percent of the ppl talking shiet about american wars cant be wrong. And a politicians group spending thusands millions of dollars in weapons each year, its a dictator, or somebody come right now right here and fuck me, because i cant believe that any free country can say democracy to that shiet!!

That's because back then the Republicans were in biz with the Nazi's. Where do you think the Bush family fortune came from? Look into Prescott Bush whom was GB sr's father and GB Jr's grandfather.

Interesting statement.

I guess it never occurred to you that the US caused Japan to attack us?
