Global warming. CANCELLED!
"House Hearing on Global Warming Cancelled Due to Severe Winter Weather"
Meanwhile, Snow fell on Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, for the first time in 63 years on Wednesday, stirring excitement and curiosity among residents and their children. "I have never seen it snow in Kathmandu in all my life," said 45-year-old housewife Manju Shrestha, playing in the snow with her young children. |
Probably Bush's fault. You see, when he planted the explosives in the Twin Towers, it was to create a weather system which would result in the snow which cancelled the hearing.

Snow has fallen in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, for the first time in more than 60 years. Although the Himalayan nation is home to Mt Everest, Kathmandu lies in a valley and temperatures there seldom fall below freezing point. Officials said that the snow interlude was only brief - lasting for about 45 minutes on Wednesday. Rain, fog and ice have disrupted transport in many parts of the country, causing at least one death. Local Kantipur television said snow had not fallen in the capital since 1944. Housewife Manju Shrestha, 45, playing with her young children, said: "I have never seen it snow in Kathmandu in all my life." |
12 feet of snow in upstate New York, snow for the first time in 63 years in Kathmandu. It's scary I tell you! Scary! SCARY! Scariest thing I've ever seen. Someone should make a movie about these frigid conditions.

Global cooling. We are all fucked!

I would have thought Kathmandu always got snow too. Ah well what do i know...

Glad for the children of Kathmandu, they must be happy to see snow.... not half of the year and more.
|
This is SCARY! Our fragile eco-system is collapsing! Reindeer are starving because of the thick ice in Sweden.

"Global warming" refers to the average temperatures getting higher from year to year, and while maybe the outlook isnt as bleak as some would make it seem, it's pretty much a scientific fact.
There are several factors that contribute to snow: only one of which is temperature... and, of course there are going to be periods of low temperature throughout the year that would allow for frozen precipitations. But without a storm, there's no snow. More snow also means there are more storm systems around than in previous years. |

20 years ago we were going to be seeing a new ice age soon. Now, we're all going to die in rising seas and be scortched by super temperatures. Excuse me if it all seems a bit dramatic. |
Lol, how fucked up is that?

|
Accelerated changes in climate extremes are not good for things.

I can remember a cover of Discover Magazine when I was 11 or 12 (21+ years ago) that had an artists rendition of NYC under water. As far as the ice age, thing... that might have still been a factor because, if you understand world temperature dynamics, and how the oceanic conveyer works, you'll also realize how global warming can - and (whether natural or artificial) eventually will, in fact, lead to the next ice age. Again, it's not our world we're saving, or even humanity, really... we'd be smart enough to migrate to the equator in an ice age - and the world'll be here long after the last homo sapien is extinct... I think it's really just a matter of figuring out if it's possible that we're to blame for our environmental changes, and being responsible enough to try and lessen the negative impact we have on our environment for the benefit of other species. Are we to blame? that's up for debate, sure... but I, for one, tend to think that the action of throwing a lot of foreign compounds into our atmosphere for over 100 years now has to have some sort of reaction.... and we're only going to be doing it to a greater extent if we continue on our current path. |
by the way boys... global warming means not only warm weather all over the world.... it means high humidity level and as a consequence more cold weather in wonter cuz of wind and etc!

knock it off with the ice storms.
you are ruining Al Gore's scam. you want he should have to get a real job? |
