Sony is good shit. IBM Thinkpads are the best, IMO. They are light as shit ad have long battery life, which are perfect when you actually travel with the thing.

I have the sony FE31H for like 4 months, had to get used to the keyboard (large flat buttons)
all connections are on the sides or front ... can get messy if you want to plug in some external stuff unless you go for the dockingstation like I did :)

I`d recommend the Sony Vaio although it`s expensive i think it`s the most reliable,fast;-40% comes down to 809 $ so I think it`s a pretty good price :)

I have a sony and love it. I'd get more ram though especially if u r going to have Vista on it.

I go for sony, just double your ram if you plan to run vista, you will need the added ram.

I wouldnt take any of them.. get something nice like the flybook or a nice small 14" dell..

I'd go with Sonny too.

I had some bad experience with Acer laptops.
