I'm not sure exactly what part of the process you are running into trouble on, but just as a heads up, I got error messages one time in the final steps while trying to register a domain there (although it was a different error than yours), and tried a couple times to go back and fix it.

Turns out I never did get the domain registered through them and every time I tried to go back and fix it they were charging my credit card for the full amount. Be sure to keep an eye on your credit card statement over the next week.

Unfortunately your only hope with namecheap is through email. They have no phone support to speak of.

yeah, i only pay with paypal funds i add to my account, so if they charge me i know instantly, email support is lacking, but i noticed in a thread between namecheap and monikor there was someone from namecheap in there, so hopefully they see this if i keep it bumped

Hello Madrox,

We tested your account and were able to register a test domain with no issues. We logged in and with your username and password just like you would and encountered no errors.

I will send you an email with more details.

Hello EvilDick,

This sounds like we were having registry connection issues which happen from time to time. When experiencing this issue we go through transactions manually and void any duplicates. We would never keep any extra funds.

I'm quite confident any overcharges were returned to you promptly so I won't even ask you if that is the case or not. :)

hey Richard, thanks for the reply, i think i might know the problem, does the registration process use referrers for it? because since the last domain i registered i know i turned off my referrering sending in firefox, and think maybe thats it, im off to work right now, will turn it on and try it again when i get home.

Yes, after I noticed the charges and informed support the charges were promptly refunded. Thanks. Good to see someone from namecheap around here.
