Oooold checks - what to do with them?
 

Today I was doing some major cleaning in my house and found about 5 very old checks that I forgot to cash from some reason.

3 of them are rather small ccbill checks for lie 30-50 bucks, there is one freeezinebuck check and two checks from god knows who :)

What to do with them? They are from 2004 or 2005 :)

ask the companies to reissue them.

When I found a two year old check from a company I knew was still around I just added it to a pile of other deposits and dumped them into the ATM. All went through.

I thought about contacting the companies who issued them to reissue them, but wanted to ask here first to see whether anyone tried it already.

I did one time and the companies were very nice. Just give them all the information they need.

heh u must be really rich man .. if u forget to cash checks

I keep getting checks from AEBN made out to a company that no longer exists. They all wind up in the trash because it's too much trouble to set up a checking account for them

they should still go through no problem...

Why don't you just change the account info to whatever is current?

unless checks said void after nnn month or company does not exist anymore, jut cash them :)

i think checks are valid 3-6 months?

Free Ezine Bucks have changed payout companies several times over the years, you may want to contact them before trying to outright cash the check.
