Canada arrests donald trump for facilitating gambling

Turns out he ran a casino in vegas that didnt comply with canadian law and didnt pay canada taxes on money canadians spent there..

So while he was on vacation in canada he was arrested and thrown in the lockup.

ok ok this didnt really happen but it makes ya think ..

fris 02-12-2007 11:47 AM

thats some serious business

Mr Pheer 02-12-2007 11:47 AM

thats pretty funny...

but why would anybody take a vacation in Canada?

BoyAlley 02-12-2007 11:48 AM

Honestly, with all of the problems we have here in the US, the fact that online poker has become a focus of governmental resources for us is ridiculous.

Especially considering the fact that the vast majority of americans see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

umm i realise you were just being comical but umm canada is clean , the people are nice and its safe... thats 3 pretty good reasons, plenty of americans seem to agree :) more americans visit canada than vice versa ( although thats a little unfair as the population of canada is about the same as california )

It is a big problem. The US government just handled it poorly.

Alot of people have lost alot of money gambling online, and many have been defrauded by online casinos. Problem gambling has ruined many lives.

But, I believe regulation is better than prohibition. That's where the US government really went wrong and missed a big opportunity.

'by the people for the people'

at least that's what it used to be

'supposebly? ...... yeh subpossebly'

PS: More directly, I absolutely agree with you...

There's no shortage of other shit we should be dealing with: global warming, poverty, AIDs, cancer, illiteracy, the war on people that think differently...etc

collegeboobies 02-12-2007 12:17 PM

Does anyone actually know a Canadian that says "aboot"? The only people I have seen that say it remotely like that are people from Newfoundland. I guess everyone in the U.S. seen Stompin' Tom Connors on the CBC and thought we all talked like that.

I am relaxed, not sure why you would think otherwise.

It was actually a serious question though. Just never understood the origin of the "aboot" thing. Most stereotypes have some base in fact so that one has always baffled me.

Religion is responsible for far more ills on society than gambling (legal or otherwise) has ever been. Not once have I heard about the gambler who moved from state to state so he could fuck more little boys.

true enough

I have NEVER once in my life come across someone that acted disgusted when I said I was going to Atlantic City or Vegas...in fact most people are jealous...but never once has anyone voiced any objection

but if I was to tell people I was voting for Bush I bet I would get an ass kicking...LOL

He has been trying to open that Trump tower for years. When they first opened there sales centre on the site I went for a presentation. The sales reps were straight out of a fashion magazine; god the woman were hot.

From what I have been told by the old boys at the National Club it's not going to happen. Something to do with them selling the air rights to Scotia back in the day. They also didn't want their building boxed in by another tower. Who knows though as it is Trump and money can change a lot of peoples minds.
