Leonardo Di Caprio must win the Oscar

But Forest Whitaker is phenomenal as Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland. I think I'd rather see him get the Oscar.

Yea he's good. But there are dozens of other good actors that are at least as deserving. Actors that get an Oscar today should have the potential to become the Hoffman's, De Niro's and Pacino's of tomorrow. Di Caprio is a box office draw and money talks, yes. But is he worth an Oscar?

Seriously ... what performance of Di Caprio put him on that path so far? I would give this guy another 10 years to see what he's worth.

His fake accent bothered me a lot in the commercials for that blood diamond movie. Basketball Diaries was probably my fave movie of his.

He's a good actor,no doubt about that. But I'm still betting Forest Whitaker might have better odds than him.:thumbsup

He was good in the Departed.

I think he's done alright in blood diamond .
I think he matures and he is getting better and better.
I remmeber I never liked him but now he becomes a good actor not just some cheap teens idol.

Hes acting is starting to shine through more now. He was great in departed and black daimond. Would like to see a few more good flims from him before he got a oscar

I don't think he was that good in Blood Diamond... maybe that's just me.

Di Caprio puts an awesome performance in Blood Diamond but I doubt he can beat Forest Whitaker in the run for the Oscar.

Haven't seen blood diamond. He was the best performance of an all-star cast in the departed. The year before he was amazing in The Aviator.

Say what you want....He's reaching a level in my eyes where you know a movie will be good because he's in it and he picked the script.

Tom Hanks I think is another person who grew into that...


Sure there are a few flops along the way; but i'll take my chances on a Leo film :thumbsup

He was absolutely brilliant in Blood Diamond, in my opinion. He's really reaching new status as an actor.
