I got stuck in an elevator one night at 1am in the morning. I picked up the emergency phone and the lady said...."your in no danger, we are sending a service agent to get you out". I asked how long that'll take and she said..."well, he'll have to get out of bed and drive down to where you are, it'll be about 3 hours". The ironic part about this is that I was working as a Photographer for an elevator company at the time (this was many years ago) and the guy who came and rescued me worked at my company. We ended up just going and getting some breakfast and laughing about it. :1orglaugh

Hal, I do have a question.

As I recall, you tried the first key and it did not work. You got a second key, which worked, but the room was loaded with stuff you had no use for.

Your soliloquy implied that you went and got another key, and all was well. Does this mean to imply that this third key was for a second room?

Hal, little green screen tip, light yourself from behind a bit. It can help the software to cut you out easier.

Yes. I think she wrote the room down wrong, initially. So my first key was probably RIGHT...but she wrote down the wrong room. So when she corrected the keys, she let me into someone else's room.

The final key was for a second...unused...room.

Oh, and I feel your pain on the elevator... got stuck between floors at some janky place in Texas and the owner had to get out of bed with one of the maintenance people and they ended up pulling me up through the emergency hatch. My whole stay was comped as a result. But that's Texas, not Hollywood.

My Ipod was stolen right from my bags in the room at the hotel. They refused to admit it or work with me on it.. cocksuckers.

oh man... with the door issues I had, I'm not too surprised. That's why I almost never get my room serviced while at shows. (Except to get Juicy's blood and semon hosed off the bathroom floor.)

Dude, I have had my issues with the hotel as well. Try charging my cc card twice and then not having a room for me.

They checked me into someone elses room, made me wait 30 mins for new keys, the new room was 2 doors down, it was DIRTY and NASTY!

I did not want to walk barefoot on the floors.

The hotel sucked!

Oh, the elevators broke all the fucking time. They were slow, LOUD
and always overcrowded.

I think it was about 10 minutes...but felt MUCH longer. :)
