OMG What does the porcupine look like?

jixxi 02-11-2007 07:45 PM

WTF! Is that for real?

WarChild 02-11-2007 07:46 PM

That's not a Pitbull, it's a White Bull Terrier (I believe).

This kind of thing happens whenever dogs and porcupines cross paths, dog's just have to chase shit that moves. This particular picture is a few years old and the dog left the Vet's office just fine the same day. No blindness or anything.

tony286 02-11-2007 07:50 PM

Damn that had to hurt

Clownbarf 02-11-2007 07:51 PM

Yeah you're right. I just stumbled on this but it looks like the pic / story has been around for over a year. It also is a bull terrier.

Spunky 02-11-2007 07:52 PM

Damn..I still shudder everytime I see that

DaddyHalbucks 02-11-2007 10:55 PM

I bet that dog will pause next time he sees a porcupine.

PHP-CODER-FOR-HIRE 02-11-2007 11:22 PM

That had to hurt... You'd think the stupid dog would let off after getting a few of those spines in his FACE.

Lucky he didn't go blind.

the alchemist 02-11-2007 11:23 PM

Stupid dog...

TGPFactoryMike 02-11-2007 11:27 PM

Damn, that dog got his shit rocked.

lorine 02-12-2007 12:19 AM

Wow!incredible pictures. I`m sure that the dog is in terrible pain. Is this thing for real or is it a fake ?

Boobs 02-12-2007 12:29 AM

old pic but still horrible

Daruma 02-12-2007 12:32 AM

on a serious note - anyone know if the dog survived?
that many holes in the skin is likely to cause more than a bit of infection..

GT-Omar 02-12-2007 08:13 AM

Well that's a lesson learned.

WarChild 02-12-2007 08:29 AM

Yesd the dog lived, No it's probably not in overwhelming pain, the barbs don't go that deep. It's more painful to remove them. And no, the dog probably didn't learn a lesson, it'll go right after the next porcupine it sees.

SxDx 02-12-2007 08:43 AM

ThreeDeviants 02-12-2007 12:06 PM

that HAD to hurt... yowch!

Clownbarf 02-12-2007 12:07 PM

Well as far as learning a lesson, there was a comment in the story saying that a vet somewhere told him that sometimes the SAME dog will come back multiple times full of prickers. There was a case where the same dog came back the very next week with the same problem. Sounds like some of them don't learn or either have very short term memories.
