What would you do?
Ok, I have a quandry here.
I have two workstations in my home office. Currently I've got a 17" CRT and a 19" CRT for them, and the 17" is pretty sad. So it's time to upgrade. Here's the thing: Would you get two 19" widescreen LCDs (Samsung 940BW) for $540 including taxes plus exchange coverage? Or would you get one 20" widescreen LCD (Samsung 205BW) for $490 including taxes plus exchange coverage? That means I keep the 19" CRT for the secondary computer. Any thoughts on this? |
I'd go for the 2 19's.
|
what i would do is not promote a company that uses zango before i start buying tv's
|
Managing 2 screens is a hassle....
I opted for 1 Large widescreen. You can get a 24" Widescreen for just a bit more then two 20" widescreens. |

go for two 19" lcd's... much more workspace than a single 20"
|
save for a bit, then get one 30-40 inch LCD.
That's what I'm thinking for my home set up. I'm using dual 21 inch CRT's here at the office. |
I would get 22'' acer for around $300 or so :thumbsup

this one: http://www.a-power.com/product-989
(you can probably find it cheaper elsewhere) |
I say go for the two 19" ones...but I am no expert :Oh crap
|
i'd dump the crts

Two 19" widescreen LCD Samsung 940BW

Two 19's....
|
I'd get the two 19s if you switch from one computer to the other a lot. It may strain your eyes a bit if one is LCD and the other is CRT.
LCD took some getting used to for me at first but now a crt really hurts my head. |
two 19s... that way you can go dual-screen in the future, and for now, you have two new monitors instead of one new monitor.
besides it's only 50 bucks more |
Duo 19's if it was me

i don't like the 20 wide... looks weird.. 24 wide is great though.. hehe.. id get a regular 20 imo.. or maybe 2 20's :)

Alright, here's an update:
The Samsung 205BW came on sale for $273 plus $13 for a complete Zero Dead Pixel 1 Year guarantee. I couldn't pass it up. So we got one for each computer. Soooo happy :) There's a little backlight bleed in the bottom left corner, but nothing too noticeable. Yay! |
I went for a 42"
|
go with what ever keeps the most money in your pocket, but keeps you happy!
