People Who Make Money With Ad-words

I don't want secrets or anything but I want to know roughly how much you started off spending per day on each search...

Whats the kinda normal amount to get started with? Just to try some shit out...

mattz 02-11-2007 11:48 AM

expect to loose 10 grand before you get the hang of it

Is that an educated statement or just a wild stab in the dark?

Jace 02-11-2007 11:51 AM

I personally gave up after spending about $1k trying anything I could find

there is definitely a science to it, and when I need to do it again, I will hire someone that knows it

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of things did you try?

oh man, the list is way too long

one thing I DID notice that kind of worked was telling the surfer EXACTLY what he is getting

so, instead of saying "The Best Anal Site On The Net" I would put "Best Anal For $9.95".....telling them the price in the ad did much better, less clicks, but more converted on through

Getting adult ads approved is a science in itself.
Getting an even bottom line once you're setup can be done on 10$ a day. Once you can sustain that, tweak what works (what keywords are converting with which ad based on defining keyword sets with affiliate links designated by campaign - easy with Nats) and get rid of what doesn't and build. Grow based on what you can afford to invest.

There is still money there but not very easy and margins are low. If you have a system in place or a tight market that you dominate you can do well.

My experience lately has been poor

I'm not making money out of it but it's a nice way to feed a new website with very targetted traffic; If I do the math it's 2 to 1 so investing $2 in ad-words pays me $1.

I've had a few people tell me that and a few have told me it isn't true. The former had a reason to keep me away, the latter did not.

Straight up, who do you believe and why? Hard to say without trying yourself.

It cost me a lot of money and i got not much back. Never again for me

tranza 02-11-2007 02:32 PM

Never had much luck with Ad-words.

:(

Kevin2 02-11-2007 02:35 PM

I had no luck with adwords either.

HAPPYPEEKERS 02-11-2007 03:35 PM

I do very very very well with them ;)

ThreeDeviants 02-11-2007 04:03 PM

Most ad words campaigns can have daily spending limits set... try to set a small amount per day for a limited run and see what key words work best for your traffic... then up spending limits on the ones that are getting you the best quality traffic.

sh33p 02-11-2007 04:05 PM

Yeah, adwords is *very* hard to crack. I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

pocketkangaroo 02-11-2007 04:08 PM

I use Adwords and have done well with them for awhile. It's a tricky game and gets more difficult each day. If you aren't well versed in Adwords, you will get trampled. It's not something you just wake up one day and start throwing money at. You have to know the system, know your sponsors, and be willing to adjust on the fly.

polish_aristocrat 02-11-2007 04:15 PM

my biggest problem with adwordfs is to get any traffic

if i get a new campaign and it gets 100 clicks daily i am happy, heh

i cant imagine how people get campaigns getting a few k clicks daily, unless they bid for "Free porn" , pay 50 cents per click, allow traffic from all countries and have google content network enabled

do lots of research b4 u spend a dime!

find the most expensive highly searched
adult (niche specific) keywords you can.

study the top 3 ads for 25-50 keywords.
note what points each ad make!

do not copy the ads but the style. your
almost guaranteed to get a high ctr right
off the bat.

write different ads for your campaign
& split test 2 @ a time. your looking
for the highest ctr you can achieve.

make sure you document everything.
you do not want 2 lose your master
control.

lose $ up front to get it back over &
over via sales & reduced cpc.

you need to build some history for your
account & campaign.

after a day or so every time google
reduce your cpc reduce your maximum
cpc but leave it 0.05-0.10 cents above
what google is charging you per click.

this way your working your cpc down to
the bare minimum it can ever get.

make sure you use landing pages for
very specific keywords.

in other words dont make me use a menu
or have 2 hunt for what im looking 4.

with google adwords placement & approval is capricious when it comes to adult.

it's a game. one i got sick of playing.
