Any Paint Ballers in here? - Got my ass kicked yesterday

I used to play quite often a few years back...

Yesterday I played some indoor stuff and got my ass kicked badly...

I must be getting slow...too many blue spots on my body this morning:Oh crap

Anyone here play regularly?

Silly Guy 02-10-2007 08:01 AM

maybe you guys just throw cotton buds at each other

The Suit 02-10-2007 08:02 AM

LOL, that sucks. Indoor is always fast and painful. I usually play woods ball outside and its less hits but the guns are turned way way up.

I try and play about every two to three weeks.

I used to play in England alot...old army compounds with loads of buildings...

now I'm in Germany. You are not allowed to play in woodland or realistic conditions...you always have to use those blow up barriers that give you the feeling of hiding behind a bouncy castle...

germans are so german

Phoenix 02-10-2007 08:19 AM

i played once could barely see through the visor it was all fogged up

DaddyHalbucks 02-10-2007 08:27 AM

Never tried it, but it looks like it's a blast.

Like anything, I imagine it takes some time to master it.

it's great fun as long as you play with people who are on your level....

otherwise you just spend too much time sidelined and you might have a few too many bruises

RedShoe 02-10-2007 08:56 AM

I'm just a regular baller. That's just how I roll.

That does suck. I'm in Arizona, so its wild west out here. We just find an open area and play a few games. Its all Camo and military type though, no automatic guns or inflatable barriers.

Its an absolute blast until you get cactus in your ass.

Check out specialopspaintball.com for some cool toys

There are actual laws that say that you can't do paintball in the woods?

they had to pay a fine of 150 euros

Sultry_Selenia 02-10-2007 10:36 AM

The boyfriend and I just started a few weeks ago, I have to say I'm loving it. :) I have the whole fogged mask problem though, need to pick up one that will work with my glasses. It's all outdoors paintball around here, we're hitting up some scenario games when it gets nicer out. I'm just thrilled I finally found something athletic that I like haha.

fogging used to be a big problem for me with glasses but it got alot better with contact lenses...but i do still have times when i can't see shit and just hide in a corner for a while

very athletic indeed...my legs are still aching from all that up and down

Sultry_Selenia 02-10-2007 10:53 AM

I wish I could use contact lenses, that would make things a lot easier. :( Have a medical issue with my eyes that makes it impossible unfortunately.

From what I've been reading, a Vforce profile looks to be my best bet for a mask. Picking up that for sure , not sure about what marker I want to buy yet though (just been using their rental stuff).

smutranger 02-10-2007 10:59 AM

I try and get out about once a month. I prefer woodsball even better are large scenario games.

woodball is where its at for me... Have not had a chance to get out and play in a few months.

Head out to the woods case of beer .. play all day then sit back and laugh about all the events of the day with a cold one.

Best gun I have ever had is a tippman with an airloader http://www.tippmann.com/

As for mask setup I also have eye issues and fixed a set of spy snowboading goggles and use a mask given to me years ago..

Fap 02-10-2007 01:21 PM

I used to play until i got to school. Anyone interested in a gun? I have an autococker (not porn for all you non-paintball players out there) for sale

is that with a correction in the goggles?

PAR 02-10-2007 01:23 PM

yes the goggles have vents on the front that would with the right hit from a paint ball let in the paint.. some vents are left open so not to fog up the goggles.

Silly Guy 02-10-2007 04:34 PM

so does that mean you never have problems with fogging goggles now?...i've tried various products...but they all fogged up at some point...maybe i just give off more heat than others...

u-Bob 02-10-2007 05:07 PM

I play it once a month (indoor).

About the fogging problem... put some shaving cream on the inside of your mask and wipe it of with a paper towl. no kidding.

no kidding? i'll give it a go

if I get my ass kicked again next WE i'll blame you:thumbsup

PAR 02-10-2007 05:17 PM

I get very little fog, never tried teh shaving cream but clean you googles with auto glass cleaner.

Contra 02-10-2007 05:27 PM

Invest in high quality goggles and you will have no fog problems, also pull them close and tight to your face.

I love paintball, but it's an expensive sport if your playing competitively.

Silly Guy 02-10-2007 05:35 PM

looks like there are quite a few people into paintball here

we did it about a year ago in Toronto was a great night... we should do it again.

Wildcard2 02-10-2007 09:38 PM

Play all the time here in london. Both indoors and out... Does get expensive since I have both a speedball gun (ion) and clothing for indoor and woodsball gun (A-5) and clothing to suit outdoors.

Lately been playing at least once a week...but it is addictive...once you start its hard to stop..

Spudstr 02-10-2007 09:42 PM

I play every weekend.. well not so much since its fawking cold out. been playing for a few years. Currently Rock a 05 Ego.

Silly Guy 02-11-2007 11:18 AM

true it does get rather expensive if you really get into it

DirtyDanza 02-11-2007 11:43 AM

I play every weekend sometimes 3 times a week... I am playing more mil-sim stuff now or tac-sim really... but I can hang on the speed ball field as well I am rocking all sorts of mil sim guns and my speedball is my ion right now... to many upgrades on it to name... but I was shooting at about 27bps yesterday with just a little d-bounce I think if I fuck with settings more I can hit 34bps no prob with no ramping.....

we are going to d-day in ok this year..plus a few in cali....

DirtyDanza 02-11-2007 11:44 AM

PS zombiegirl was in town came to play some paintball with us... had her on the ION... she musta had a good 30 kills for the day... great stuff.. she can play on our team any day of the week
