GFY guitarists, in here now!
OK, this one may be obscure. This is a question for the Telecaster owners and players.
Fender Vintage Hot Rod 52 Telecaster with Vintage Tweed Case http://www.americanmusical.com/item-...00232-850.html or Fender James Burton Telecaster - Red Paisley Flame http://www.americanmusical.com/item-...08602-887.html Which is the one I damn sure need to buy, and please give the reasons. :) |
the James Burton is the one I would go with but in reality unless you play for a living one guitar is enough.
|
Fender James Burton Telecaster - Red Paisley Flame..cause it has cool flames

that is truly a work of art. Today I was at sam ash and they had a reissue of eddie van halens kramer, 1800 bucks and its a copy of eddies beat to shit guitar and I mean beat to shit. I dont get it would rather have the james burton or a nice paul for that type of money.
|
the burton is cool but it aint a tele - its a modded telly and will not sound the same.
if your going for looks and not a true tele sound go for the burton. if you want a telly and the tele sound get the 52. i have an old tele and its the shit. |

What kind of sound are you going for? I would personally get the Vintage Hot Rod. Looks like shit, but it more than likely has a better sound.

In the reproduction of when the guitar was retired, they reproduced it with cigarette burns on the head by the tuners. :1orglaugh The history of "blackie" a shit guitar bought for $100 and sold for almost $1-MILLION!!! ?Blackie? is probably the most famous guitar in the world. She was put together by Eric Clapton from three different Stratocasters. |

The flying V blows them all away.Rick Neilson of Cheap Trick has the ultimate collection of multi neck guitars

I haven't played either, so I couldn't recommend one over the other...
I'm a Stratocaster man myself - and like you, music and women are my passions...it's fun to mix my passions sometimes (here's Athena with one of my Strats): http://www.asiandivagirls.com/gfy/adg_3871.jpg Rock on TD... ADG Webmaster |

Nice guitar collection Sticky F...nice violins too - don't make me break out my ukeleles and mandolins! :1orglaugh
I actually enjoy my acoustic guitars most nowadays since I rarely play with bands anymore. My favorites are a Yamaha CG-7 (classical), a very old but still beautiful sounding Yamaki 12-string (Yamaki went out of business a long time ago so they are pretty rare now), and my Martin DCXE Black. Here is Jenna with a few of my acoustics in the background: http://www.asiandivagirls.com/gfy/adg04174.jpg I also like playing Ovation electric acoustics... ADG Webmaster |
damn you guys should partner and open a music store.lol Some really cool stuff

Shapely, loud, and blonde..... would it be politically incorrect to name this guitar Loryn??? :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
td, i would go with the hotrod tele.
i am kind of a tele "purist". i like the pickgaurd, the two pickups, and the vintage look. here is my tele: http://www.oligarchy.biz/pics/tele-new-pick-gaurd.jpg it's just a mexican standard tele in a natural ash finish, but i got a new pickgaurd and put a dimarzio tone zone in the bridge position. i absolutely love it though. tele's are one of my favorite guitars. after i get a new acoustic in a couple months i would like to pick up a '72 tele thinline re-issue. either way, i don't think you will be dissapointed, but my personal preference would be for the 52 hotrod. |

I just paid off my Strat and Fender Percision Bass that I bought from them....I may have to start looking for more goodies - I love the payment plan :1orglaugh |

nice guitars TexasDream
|
I never could get a feel for a tele..... If I play any fender its always a strat and never with stock single coils..... I like humbuckers.
But I wish you luck in choosing..... :thumbsup |
[QUOTE=TexasDreams;11892739]The paisley red flames are a pretty sweet design. :thumbsup
BIG pic... I don't know guitars but I like the look of this one better. :) |
First one was very Bruce Springsteen, but I'd go with that one.
