Opposition to xxx still being accepted

Apparently you can still submit your opposition to .xxx as I just sent in another letter and it was accepted.

good to know baddog!!!!

sent another letter off to them.

BTW, the .xxx seminar was very informative. My stance hasn't changed, only grown stronger (Piccionelli did us well) against it!!

munki 02-10-2007 09:43 AM

Sending another one off right now!

munki 02-10-2007 09:53 AM

Here's what I sent in:

Quote:

To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to voice my official opposition to the new .xxx TLD.

After recently hearing a panel discussion at the XBiz Hollywood Convention and Awards which included A Dialogue with ICM Registry Stuart Lawley (ICM Registry), Stephen Balkam (ICRA), Washington attorney Robert Corn-Revere and industry attorney Gregory Piccionelli, my mind was set quite un-at ease with the proposition.

It is my personal feeling, and one that is shared by many in attendance that Stuart Lawley has been misleading to the online adult industry in regards to his intentions with .xxx registry as well as efforts to protect our industry, one he claims not to be a part of but will fight for anyways, from forced adoption of the .xxx for online adult related commerce.

Please on behalf of myself, Top Choice Film Productions, Top Choice Cash, and my employees accept our opposition to the .xxx TLD, and do not let this nightmare become real.

Thank You

Mik Munki

I don't really think anything is to be accomplished by making up names . . . that just lowers you to Lawley's level.

Yanks_Todd 03-03-2007 09:18 AM

Here is mine.

Hello, I own and operate Yankscash.com and its affiliated sites. I am adamantly opposed to the creation of a .XXX top level domain. A restructuring of the internet this way is both impossible and beneficial to no one except for the few companies who will profit personally from its creation. Adult content on the internet is scattered across all TDLs and the people responsible for the moral violations this new TDL is meant to stop will never adhere to its rules. However, on the flip side it will both financially and administratively burden the moral purveyors of adult content in such a way as to make the fight against child pornography and children?s access to adult content that much more difficult. .XXX is a bad idea and will only result in a worse situation in every way.

I sent something similar, copied it.

seeric 03-03-2007 12:40 PM

I encourage everyone to take a few minutes and write something in opposition to icann. it does make a difference.

Gaybucks 03-03-2007 05:52 PM

Make SURE you state that you work in the adult industry and speak on behalf of your company. It is industry opposition that ICANN is specifically looking for.
