hahahaha - what a bizarro world this chick lived in. America's obsession with celebrity and moreso white trash celebrities is endless. the latest news from the front is that now Zsa Zsa Gabor, whom I had no idea was still alive and who must be 106 by now - her husband, some eurotrash gigolo who is 59 is now claiming that he is the father of Anna Nicole's child.

it fits - i grew up with Zsa Zsa Gabor on every friggin TV talkshow and I never was given an answer by my parents on what the hell she did to become a celebrity, she wasn't a movie star, a singer - just like Anna Nicole Smith, a celebrity without ever having done anything to merit it. Is America the only country that makes people like this into celebrities?

No... England has Jordan/Katie Price and Camilla Al-Fayed. Camilla is just a rich socialite and heiress/party girl like Paris. Her father is Mohammed Al-Fayed and owns Harrods.

I think all countries have people like this.

They also have Victoria Beckham, she's huge in Europe and famous for doing nothing besides being Beckham's wife and dressing impeccably well and fashionable everytime she steps out.

Plus Europe has WAG's which stands for "wifes and girlfriends" of soccer stars. They are famous for just being the wife/girlfriend of soccer guys.

I wouldn't really have classed her as a movie star, no. TV star? I'd have to say yes... especially after reading up on her work history --

Of course I know that, I love all their songs!!!! But they were disbanded a long time ago. None of the other spice girls are getting as much publicity as Victoria, Victoria is huge. For example, we don't hear much about Emma Bunton or Geri Halliwell here in the states, but I heard about Victoria waaaaaaaaaaaay before David Beckham was even going to play in the soccer team here. She's extremely popular and known as a style icon.

It's been years since she was in the spice girls. Lately she hasn't been doing anything except desinged some jeans for Rock & Republic and wrote a book. She's kind of like Paris I think.

She is only popular because of her husband.

oh - Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband is royalty - he's Prince Frederick von Anhalt, hahaha, this is right out of some Bob Hope Bing Crosby road comedy movie.
