Codec to play 16:9 in media player
 

Anyone know the codec needed or plug in to play 16:9 native videos with media player .. For some reason my version doesn't play it .. It plays fine with Real player, and BSplayer .. but for some reason nadda, zipp with windows media player ...

Codecs are for the formats, wmv, xvid, divx, etc. I don't think that you need a codec per se to play a wide screen video. Maybe update WMP or download a multi-codec pack and reboot to fix your WMP's performance.

I noticed BSplayer has those little squares you see alot when you watch action movies with lots of movement... Core player is smooth as fuck!

get vlc player, 10x better than media player...

My thoughts exactly on the codecs .. it was a techy that told me I needed a codec for Windows media player . how ever he didn't know which one .. which is why I brought the question here ...

Like I said it plays fine with real player and BSplayer .. just not media player .. I was wondering why

what version of mediaplayer, upgrade to version 10
