college or pro football?

which do you like better college or pro football??

Steve 08-02-2002 07:43 AM

pro

I don't get hyped for guys who'll suck when they play for pay. U of Miami couldn't beat the Detroit Lions or the Bengals.

jimmyf 08-02-2002 07:44 AM

I like both a lot... if I had to choose Pro... Shit I like High School and even Pee Wee..

Sorry Steve,

Gotta disagree with you on this one. Did you see the Lions last year? Unfortunately I have to live with them and I might have even taken Western Michigan to beat them last year.

well, I am just saddened as I remember most of the top draft picks from the NY Giants in the early 90's. These were blue chippers, top level college guys. And then one week into training camp and I am reading how he can't even tie his own fucking shoes, his technique is garbage, etc etc etc

I just don't get hyped by what a guy accomplishes in college. Ryan Leaf looked awesome in college, didn't he?

College football still has heart when it comes to winning. Pros get paid and the fire to win is like day & night. But in a nutshell, I'll take em both. Football is America's sport. :2 cents:

Chauncy 08-02-2002 08:55 AM

easy bushwacker

Miami and FL state play week schedules look at all of there non-conference games

Michigan has played the hardest schedule in college football 8 out of the last 10 years and are a contender every year

Put Miami in the big 10 and they are maybe a top 10 team

college all the way, BUT i'm also a little bias, having grown up (and still live)just 2 miles from the college with the most champoinships(12 national)countless others, most bowls played. and though the 60/70's the very best coach to ever walk a sideline.

Not to mention kickass tailgating and chicks

man, im getting pumped jsut thinking and writing this:)

first game aug 31st...................RTR

uh, bama....hmmm....aren't u guys on probation?

TDF 08-02-2002 10:31 AM

the college season is much more intense if you ask me. I love how a team can lose in the beginning but cant lose down the stretch. The BCS is gonna go up and down more than the dow jones index. My UCLA bruins will make a return to Pac-10 greatness

ANY professinal team would demolish a composition of the absolute best college players. You're talking totally different levels of play.

I'm a Bengals fan *sigh*.
