I don't remember it being this bad in the past.

Full of post bots, contest, sig whores " see sig ", people who have 10,000 post and have never had 1 intelligent thing to say, trolls just looking to fight, jokers who are more worried about being cool or trying to say somethign funny then making money, very very few people looking to share ideas or help each other. I know you need to cut through the bullshit to find the good post but i have lost my patience trying to do so. I think i can count on 2 hands the people on the board that actually contribute or have something business related or intelligent to say. On the rare occassion there is a business related thread you get fucking idiots in them making stupid comments.

What is wrong with you people. Are you fucking 10 years old ? Do you have nothign better to do with your life ? and I am not just talking about sig whores, a lot of loud mouth retards here who own sites/programs, or run them that talk the most shit and never have anything good to share. Is your life that fucking pathetic that you have to try to bash other people to feel better about yourself. Do you think just because this is porn you can act like a dick?

GFY is for sport these days. If you want to talk business, there are much better places to go than GFY. Ideally the mods would start banning sigwhores and people who aren't actually in the business. Banner impressions are more important than the quality of posts here so that will never happen. It's nice to think about though.

I would rather a site with 10 post a day that was business related and people helping people then be on a site with 1000 posts a day and 990 of them are bullshit.

ah, not a GFY hater, just don't like the major of the people who post here. The majority of which aren't really in our industy because they don't make any money anyway.

Will, I am 100% in agreement with you on this however one thing I was thinking about earlier is that some of the quality posters, to which I mean people of substance, may have been put off from posting here. Take Lars for example...

Your surprised its been like this for a long time. When I first started posting here it was a very different board. I still do business and meet good people on here all the time.

Well i think main problem of gfy is lack of biz threads.There is simply toomuch surfer threads.

It doesnt matter how "bad" this place gets, no one leaves. GFY is like crack, and I bet no matter how bad it got, you'd still visit everyday. Everyone in the industry visits/lurks on GFY daily, including all the big players like Nastydollars, CCbill, and all the big TGP guys.

I would never purposely post something intelligent and useful that helped my competition. Only tools with something to prove do that.

I post my opinion on whatever topic interests me and that's it.

GFY is the biggest board for a reason, they know what they're doing. Every few weeks though, someone always comes along and complains about how bad this place is. Truth is, the way it is, is exactly what's keeping it good.

There is none. Although, there are other message boards which have a large community of webmasters, there is no other message board like GFY, where ALL the industry leaders visit on a regular basis.

your 100% right will, over the 5 years since i've been here on GFY it has degenerated into a pretty lame place compared to the scene we once had here... real biz talk has mostly vanished only to be replaced w/ adolescent drivel.

personally i think sigs should be banned altogether on this board, its the selling of sig space that attracted the greatest influx of surfer trash and morons here... and ultimately is driving away the real business people here..

There are no other boards like this for sure. No one does the volume, but i would rather they be 100 posts here a day if 90% of them was business related and not surfers or trolls.

problem with this board is you have too many people who come here for entertainment and not for business and too many people who like to put on a show. Its like going to a zoo and feeding the animals. The animals like the attention and the people like look at them and feeding them. That and the sigwhores, surfers, trolls, etc.

I still do business here but I agree I have to wade thru a lot to find it. I'm thankful for the search function. I limit my time here, henceforth the low post count... otherwise I'd never get anything done. The high post count of the non-trolls here really astounds me sometimes tho.
