I'm having panic attacks.....
My B-Day will be here soon and it's a big one :( I have been freaking out since the 1st of February. I'm going to be sooooooo old.:(
Next B-Day I will be going back a year. :winkwink: |
Some people age with beauty :)
|
it's just a number love, everyone else is going to celebrate your existence on your birthday, you should too! we're glad you're here. :)
|
Don't sweat it. Celebrate it. Every day you are alive you break your own personal record for most consecutive days lived.

That, or you'll have a heart attack and be one of those weird tombstones that everyone points out in the cemetery cuz the date of birth and date of death are the same...... |
Im turning 41 this year.. getting too close to 50 for me..still feel young at heart and that is all that matters. Happy b-day when it gets here.

Oh come on!
I'm not saying you're not going to think about it, but panic attacks? It's just a number! All you have to do is read a magazine, open a newspaper, or walk into an office, and see that people vary in looks and vitality based less on age and more on personality! A study shows that people generally are nostalgic about their lives 10 years before. So when you'l be 70, you'll think nothing was better than 60, including 50, 40, or 30. "You're as old as you feel" is a cliche because it's been repeated so often, but that's only because it's true. And besides, Nicky is right: Quote:
My suggestion is go out, have a BIG ass party with your friends, and your anxiety will pass when you realize how much there is to look forward to. |
When you feel your young.. just believe it! Forget those numbers:thumbsup

Awww thanks hun, you should jump on a plane and come see me for my B-Day! :wetkiss :wetkiss :wetkiss |
I feel like I'm having one. I shouldn't have taken a damn stacker this morning.
When I turned 21 I started to have "Anniversaries" instead of birthdays. Nothing to look forward to at that age besides renting a car. |
Yeah, just chill out. It's ok. A lot of people have fear of aging but its inevitable. Might as well embrase it. Just think whatever age you're turning, it's the new "10 years before" thing. Soon I am turning 30, I'm like, "Come on, its the new 20!"
|
34 next month.. Thats 1 year from 35, and 35 is middle age almost... :Oh crap :disgust Of course I dont look anywhere close to my age, but still. :Oh crap
|
its hard to believe yourself, but it is just a number. i know plently of people that are 30+ that I thought they were in their 20's.

Try not thinking about it! Distract yourself. Go out and party a bit with friends and loved ones. Bury yourself in work, do whatever it takes (within reason, I don't condone crack smoking!). Maybe there's something you can do to embrace this incoming birthday with a zero? Would looking at the good moments in your past help convince you that there is plenty more of that in the future? There's nothing wrong with aging a little. Look at the people who have already reached the age you're coming to. Don't they look fine? |
