Looking for 10$/mbit or cheaper

I was told alphared sells cogent for 10$/mbit.

Any other hosting companies that are just as good but cheaper?

Looking for 100mbits. :)

Wow if you can get it for under $10 let me know....

I have heard of one guy getting a little cheaper than that but he was buying gigabits of transfer not 100mbit.

We can't do better than $10/meg but I can knock a price out of the park on 100 megabit either unmetered or burstable on different carriers and a single server for just a little more than that with a special that we will be announcing shortly. When I say knock it out of the park, I mean better than everyone else with the exception of AlphaRed on our truly resiliant, multihomed blend of 5 carriers. If you are interested, let me know via email or ICQ... it can't hurt to have another reputable option!

Cheers,

Brad

I am not looking for the 2nd cheapest.. i am looking for THE cheapest.

jay23 02-06-2007 11:55 PM

A bunch of companies on webhostingtalk.com were selling 100 megs for 1000.00.

What they do is buy Cogent at 10K/GigE and then sell say 12 - 14 connections at 100meg.

any one who buys a fixed 100 meg port will never go say 70 - 80 megs so they are banking on that.

Also bunch of providers in Amsterdam will do that low.

Remember, you get what you pay for

Orangefiber sells it for $8/meg I believe with a 100mbps commit.... $10/mbps regularly. Straight Cogent.

Alphared/OrangeFiber has great deals but im fairly certain their network is congested, as their download speeds are usually not very fast. This has been reported by many who use them.

They also go alot cheaper than $10/mbit, especially with a 100mbit commit. I've seen them publicly go as low as $7/mbit on Webhostingtalk.

OH Telecom also offers very affordable bandwidth. I believe they will go as low as OF, if not lower, but you have to talk with them to get special pricing. Theyre in the UK though - http://ohtele.com/

ffmihai 02-07-2007 03:09 AM

DutchTeenCash 02-07-2007 03:17 AM
