After reading threads like this, I can clearly see that some of the skills I possess could potentially make me some money. I have the necessary tools/skills to watermark and edit videos.

Cool but you get better sales if you start your own thread...

The thing is... anybody can find a free program on the net that will cut up your videos and watermark them.

But finding someone that knows how to deliver in multiple formats WITHOUT pixelating the hell out of your footage or screwing up the audio... THATS where the value of an editor comes in.

As for trailers, thats a different ball game. I've had so many outsourcing companies tell me their guys can make trailers. When I provided them with source footage and an example of one of my finished trailers, none of them could copy approximately what I did (without taking into consideration animation graphics and the such).

All in All, good luck Escort Biz :)

I'm sure you don't.

But I've also heard that line a million times.

The "low low" price usually means underpar work though. Its just a thought. You might want to reconsider your markerting strategy if your skills are on the level.

Ok, well in the spirit of helping out new guys (since I was one back in the day), for cutting up your material into 30 second clips and the such. Try starting out with a program called Videocharge. Its about 40 or 50$ and it'll save you countless hours of hand rendering clips.

The final products aren't always of the best quality, but then again, if you're rendering most of your stuff out with Adobe Premiere, it'll be a step up.

Good luck with the vid editing game. You've got some ways to go :)
