Is there an easy way to get documents from xml to html, pdf etc
 
Is there an existing solution for this?

have a friend who needs to get probably a very large number of documents from xml...into HTML, PDF, word etc

open office - open, save as

hehe well for html...it is easily done
pdf is alittle more complex...need to convert to XSL-FO file and then use some sort of FOP to transform the XSL-FO to pdf...pain in the ass


anyway....ill just ask some programmers,,this is actually a friends project for a very very large multi-national corp

i figured id ask here...maybe smokey had made some script that does it all...lol

hmm, as far as i know xml is the native file format of open office - and saving them as PDF is no big thing - there are free tools for that, just have to "print" them instead of saving. but im sure a script can be written for that
