Has there ever been a sponsor that GUARANTEED conversions?

If a sponsor were to guarantee conversions on PARTICULAR TYPES of traffic, would you bite the bullet and sign up and send traffic?

Has there ever been programs that did this?

there are so many different types of traffic how can someone guarantee anything

these companies out there selling exit some of them can send 5000000 hits to a page that offeres a free $100 bill just to click one button and noone clicked, that should tell ya

then you got some solid traffic types that do amazing

That's why I said PARTICULAR TYPES of traffic. The problem with most sponsors is that they (the good ones at least) were built around the particular types of traffic that the owners generate. Example: webmaster is good at generating and monetizing Link List traffic so he starts a program and the site network is tested off his link list traffic experience. Now if the same tours are hit by tgp, bot, chat redirect, dating site exit, funny video interstitital page, and any other types of traffic, the overall conversions might suck.

So instead of pursuing ALL types of traffic from the get go, what if they pursue only the types that are OPTIMIZED for their sites and BUILD OUT FROM THERE?:pimp

Quick Bucks did once that I saw

I think it was 30 signups on a paid hun listed, and they did it.

They would be out of biz in 3 months with all the scammers in this industry.

If they suck at preventing fraud and don't have basic fraud prevention measures, then they pretty much ASKED to go out of business. My question is geared towards sponsors that have good fraud prevention.

I believe Studio Cash intended to do something along those lines. Like every 5000 hits would get you $20 if you didn't make a sale. Can't remember for sure, though.

We did it and did all right. I am always up for challenges

Back when MetaformX was running it? :1orglaugh :winkwink:

Basically, what I had in mind was a BYOT type system with guarantees as long as the traffic is legit.

Another related idea: Sponsor builds 'custom' sites for particular affiliates and works closely with them to optimize their conversion.

I'm sure some of the free outsourcing sponsors already / could do this. It IS a bit labor intensive. But I'm sure it's well worth it if you snag a good affiliate who has a lot of traffic but who will be VERY loyal if you're able to optimize his current traffic pool.

Was that before or after the sale?

We did a guaranteed 2cents per unique promo, and the scammers hammered us with crap traffic.

thats about the closet you can come to a guarantee i guess. if you made it at least 2c or higher for 2nd page click, im sure the traffic would be a little better

Did you specify the traffic source? Was there any sort of prequalification or testing? Any sort of filtering software on your end to optimize the traffic?

AK 02-06-2007 02:14 AM
