Because, yes, I would play poker with Mr. Hussein. That wouldn't be wrong in any way. But pretending to oppose .xxx and then actually using it when you are not required to - that makes you a cocksucker.

And I bet there will be tonnes of people in GFY alone who will do exactly that.

You have no method of enforcing the agreement and they have no mechanism forcing them to keep to their word.

Yes it was obviously a hypothetical situation.. I was trying to raise the moral point that if .xxx goes through in a 'non-compulsory' and easily available manner, that it will be making hypocrites out of a lot of people on this board who have 'opposed' it.
