Tahoe Webmaster Access - Are you going to ski, snowboard, or get drunk in the lodge?
This is going to be an amazing show. Snow is forecasted to dump this week and create awesome conditions. I'm going to fill up the thermos with some Irish coffee and do a little boarding. What about yourself?

I'm looking at the same report as you are, but you have to realize that we're viewing the conditions for South Lake Tahoe City and not the physical mountain which differs by an elevation of around 4,000 feet. That's a big altitude differential and weather can change drastically as you get higher. We've all seen this as we start off with decent conditions at the base, only to be met with Antarctica as we ride up the chair. I do think we'll see a good amount of rain, especially as this low-pressure tropical pattern moves in towards mid-week. But that rain will turn to snow as the temperature drops at night. Will be nice to wake up to fresh powder. Only the powers above can truly predict what's going to happen. I've lost track of how many times our local weather "expert" has been completely wrong. And in California these days, anything is possible. |
im going to sit right here and do work
all i get from shows is colds and people asking for traffic etc |
Here's the current forecast, it's looking like powder all weekend!! FINALLY!!! It might rain in town, but the top portions of heavenly should be snow....i hope...

You guys and gals maybe in luck. From skiheavenly.com, "It just started snowing and when all is said and done, this is predicted to be one of those epic four-footers that Tahoe is famous for!" Now, if that happens don't expect to get out of Tahoe anytime soon either but the skiing will be (for the 1st time this year) awesome. :thumbsup
