to all da bears fans

You should be happy to know that you have the WORST quarterback that has EVER played in a superbowl.

You team shouldn't have even been in this game.

World class D, but a high school offense.

kisses.

CDSmith 02-04-2007 09:46 PM

Foreplay's over.

Time to gloat.

:D

Spunky 02-04-2007 09:51 PM

Luck had nothing to do with it. Your offense is just horrible, face it.

CDSmith 02-04-2007 09:58 PM

Looked like it was going to be a Bears blowout in the first quarter.

Then they let Grossman have the ball.

Cory W 02-04-2007 09:59 PM

I said this back when Chicago played AZ. Grossman is pathetic. He is the worst QB in Superbowl history.

But I don't blame him, the coach had an option and he let the team down by not using that option.

All Chicago fans will tell you that Greise is worse, that absolutely can't be true. I think people need to take a step back and watch Grossman. I seriously think at this point, USC would be a tough gig for him to make.

PrivateIvy 02-04-2007 10:01 PM

Bears kicked ass all year .....but Rex screwed it up tonight....my vote is he gets replaced next year, but they still made it there and had the best stats in the NFL for the season this year , best I remember :2 cents:

Tough break today...sickening actually.....but much props to Lovie and the rest of the team, they had an awesome season regardless and worked hard to get there :thumbsup

yeah, but oh look, colts lost 4 games the whole season to the bears 3 games, but hey, colts won the superbowl, one team had to, doesn't mean the other was a shitty team

Fap 02-04-2007 10:14 PM

He messed up a few times but he didnt suck all season come on

bogo 02-04-2007 10:39 PM

Listen...the Bears played a descent game and got really lucky in the first half from all the fumbles (rain) and Iterceptons to put up points, although their luck ran out.

It was only a matter of time before the bears got blown out since they lack OFFENCE . Who do the Bears have ? Exactly,nothing...I have no idea how the Bears made it this far.

Yes it does. The Bears played in a division with teams like cuyahoga falls girls lacrosse. They didn't deserve to be there, they just got lucky. They won't make it into the playoffs next year, you watch.

Like I said, worst qb to ever play in the superbowl. Trent Dilfer looks like a hall of fame qb compared to grossman.

no shit colts kicked ass but the bears have to honestly be thinking about starting brian griese
rex had 4 turnovers by his self

BusterBunny 02-04-2007 11:40 PM

the game was lost by the bears defensive backs giving the recivers a 5 yard cushion the entire game.....they were so scared of giving a big touchdown away they let indy have any pass from 1-15 yards they wanted....which meant first downs and max time of possesion......+the bears had no pass rush at all.........grossman sucked but they could have still won:2 cents:

Yep with a different offensive team, they could have won. You have NO stars at all on offense, none. Mark my words, no playoffs for da bears next year.

Pornwolf 02-05-2007 12:05 AM

The Bears made it to the Superbowl with no star players and a ridiculously weak QB. You have to give Lovie Smith a lot of respect for what he did to bring the team together.

and in the end, all for nothing.I have NO respect for what he did. He was in the weakest division, by far. Had a very easy schedule. If he was such a great coach, why does he have grossman for his qb, and good lawd look at who he has for wideouts.:1orglaugh

sure, bears haven't been to the super bowl in 21 years, but the colts have NEVER been to the superbowl have they? yeah, exactly, stop spouting at the mouth, you're making yourself look like a retard, colts going to the superbowl this year was just as big of a fluke as the bears

Sexsitesurfer 02-05-2007 06:44 AM

That kick receiver guy is pretty awesome though and it's his first season as a professional.

They should work him into the offence!!!!!

Gnus 02-05-2007 06:52 AM

I'm a bears fan and I agree Grossman blew it. But the defense did too. They missed so many tackles it's unreal. I thought Lovie would of at least put Greise in after the 2nd interception Grossman made but he didn't, I think that will haunt Lovie and that's the question I would like to ask him is why he didn't put Greise in.

Gary

Zayne E. 02-05-2007 07:10 AM

Rex Grossman is to the Bears what Steve Bartman is to the Cubs...a fucking curse.

I was never on the Grossman bandwagon this year...I thought he was wild, reckless and just plain lucky when things went "right."

Peyton put up decent numbers but he was less than spectacular as well. All-in-all it was really a boring game to watch after the first quarter ended.

And as for the Bears defense...they didn't stand a chance with having to be on the field as long as they were. If Grossman could have only converted a few 3rd downs the D could have at least caught their breath.

I predict Lovie will be elsewhere next season and Grossman will not be a starter. I hope Lovie stays in Chicago and I hope Grossman is not their starter.

Calling me a retard when you have "Fucking Colts" in your sig, just makes me smile.

Yep those colts are a fluke. Last 5 years records 12-4. 14-2, 12-4, 12-4, 10-6

now lets look at da bears 13-3, 11-5, 5-11, 7-9, 4-12

Damn I hate it when I am right. I'm not really a colts fan either, I just hate bears fans. Buncha crybabies. Face it your team blows and got lucky to get in there.

This was Grossman's FIRST year playing a season. Keywords: FIRST FULL SEASON. ROOKIE. Give him a few seasons. I do think yesterday the offensive call playing sucked and Rex never had time to get a rhythm going. I will admit, he did make 3 crucial mistakes: the 2nd dropped snap and the the 2 Interceptions. But, the defense didn't help matters. Hell, the defense hardly allowed the offensive to play. There was too much of a time span between offensive touches. IMO Rex needs to play the type of game that Rex is best at. He is a Favre type QB and needs to sling it downfield where he is a real threat. If a coach will allow him to play "his" type of ball AND coupled with a few more years of experience and growth......he will be a hell of a QB in the NFL.

Get real! Grossman like Favre hahahahah

Grossman has the worst long ball in the league. Do you see how high he has to throw it to get it downfield. His arm is weak, just like his confidence. He should just come out of the closet and get on with his life.

Face it, he sucks, and the Bears will suck until he is replaced.

What fucking planet have you been on? He has one of the best down field arms in the league. Being similar to Favre, I didn't just pull that out of your ass, many have compared the two.....even Brett interviewed a couple months back said Rex reminds him of his self as a rookie.

TuffCall 02-05-2007 10:04 AM

Fair and Balanced. This sums it up quite well (taken from another board)

I see Grossman having the goat horns hung on him, and that's unfair. He didn't lose that game for you on the two forth quarter (or practically) interceptions, you were already losing at that point. It was sometime earlier, about midway through the third quarter when the Colts passed the 30 minute time of possession mark that lost you the game.

You lost because your defense couldn't get any pressure on Peyton Manning, couldn't stop Joseph Addai and Dominick Rhodes, and couldn't get off the field. It wasn't your quarterback, who didn't throw an INT until time was running out in the third quarter and who went a remarkable 12-16 in the forth quarter.

I think you put too much on the shoulders of your QB who was in his first year starting more or less. No QB anywhere has ever won a Super Bowl his first year as the regular starter. Your team didn't make the big show on the strength of your passing game, but through the strength of it's dominant defense. That defense was unable to stop Peyton Manning yesterday, that's why you lost. It didn't play badly--just not good enough to win a superbowl.

If you want to blame anyone on your offense, blame that expensive offensive line that couldn't open holes for Thomas Jones with any consistancy against--by far--the worst rushing defense in the league. A unit that gave up a mind-boggling 173 yards per game at a unreal 5.3 yrds/attempt clip. A defense that yielded an astonishing 150 first downs against the run.

They weren't helping Rex out much either, unlike Peyton Manning who had enough time out there he packed a picnic lunch, far too often there was someone in Rex's face, meaning the Colt's defense took away Rex's opportunity to get the ball down the field which is his strength as a quarterback. Your defense didn't take that away from Peyton Manning, so he could survey the field and just about always find a good play.

It may be traditional to burn the quarterback at the stake after a disappointing loss, but this one wasn't on Rex. He didn't lose you the game, your defense didn't win it. It was missing Mike Brown and Tommie Harris which was too much to overcome and wasn't the outrageous crew that won the Arizona game all by themselves. They'll be back next year and you'll have another shot at it with your trump card intact perhaps; but Rex Grossman wasn't the reason you were in the Super Bowl, and with his 70% completion ratio wasn't the reason you lost it.

The only way Grossman could be like Favre is if Favre is playing Madden and has chicago as his team. Grossman would still suck, but at least he would make the right decisions.:1orglaugh

The reason that the d couldn't stop anything, was because they were on the field the WHOLE game. The offense was 3 and out. How many times did Grossman fumble the snap? 3, 4 times?

He's a loser, and until he is replaced, well.........9-7

Ah, it just dawned on me, now I get it......... you probably are a Michigan or Ohio St. fan and hate Rex because he was a Gator. :action-sm

Cory W 02-05-2007 10:51 AM

Rex's first season? Oh cry me a river. If Leinhart had of started for the Bears last night, it would have been a fun and close game to watch.

Rex is the same guy who said he forgot to prepare for the final game of the year because he had NYE plans. That isn't a rookie mistake, it is an idiot mistake.

He embarrased the city of Chicago last night, and much of the country as they have a pretty heavy following.

The Colts were in SuperBowl III

Jets 16
Colts 7

The game was played on January 12, 1969 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. Entering Super Bowl III, the NFL champion Colts were heavily favored (in some books, by over 20 points) to defeat the AFL champion Jets.

Although, this was before they moved to Indy. :2 cents:

Actually I really don't know why Lovie started Rex. Not the best coaching decision, but then again they LOST the superbowl.

What a sad day for the NFL when you have 2 classless teams like the Colts and the Bears in the superbowl.

Did anyone watch the game? did either team show up? It was basically like neither team wanted to win.

Just as i predicted a joke of a superbowl.

So you judge by the lifetime of the franchise? Well then the colts are the better team as they have won 2 then? or is it how long it's been since they have been in the superbowl? What about before the superbowl, when it was just league championships?

What a fucking whiner, like all bears fans. The bears stunk up the joint, shouldn't have been there at all. Get over it, you got your ass kicked by a GREAT team with when his career is over will be considered one of the top qb's ever.

I'm looking forward to your 7-9 season next year:1orglaugh :1orglaugh
