Today is my last day smoking bud....
 

After over 2 years of smoking every day.... fucking up my health, fucking up my life, my work and everything else i decided that this evening is my last time smoking pot.... I smoked weed/hash/jaras EVERY FUCKING DAY.... it will be hard as fuck, but only like the first week or two...after that I wont be depended on that.... good luck to me....

Cold turkey is one of those things where you get off something quick, and can just as easily get back on it "quick", rather than gradually ween yourself off of it.

If you're quitting for health reasons, I'd really recommend a vaporizer. Virtually smokeless so it leaves you feeling healthy and the high is more uplifting and mellow.

i disagree when it comes to reefer. its not nearly as addictive as hard drugs or even nicotine, alcohol, and caffeine. yea you will withdrawl if you just stop cold turkey, but its not the same as trying to quit smoking cigarettes or drinking coffee..

For the last 10 years or so, I've gone from smoking every day, to not smoking at all, to smoking only on occassion in social situations on the weekends, and everything in between. All through college I smoked all the time and in my senior year I smoked maybe once or twice the whole last semster and it didn't really matter to me. I like smoking weed, but you get burnt out on it after so long and it gets boring and thats when I would put away for the time being and I never really had that addiction to it. Its more the kind of thing i want to do, whereas smoking cigarettes are something i need to do. Then again, everyone is different.

About a year ago I went without it for awhile, people were telling me "you'll have more energy, your mind will clear up". Well, even though I didnt feel lazy or have any problems thinking, I didnt smoke.

Well, it was all bullshit, the only thing i felt was not high.

Thats when it became clear, when someone is stupid or lazy AND smokes pot, the pot gets blamed for their stupidity and lazyness.

I manage to run my adult business, several side projects, and hit the gym a few times a week, and i smoke weed every one of those days.

Summary: Quitting is overrated.

I agree with Xplicit. I used to smoke everyday, while working, went to the gym. Actually i was working better with pot, maybe because all i can think now is smoking a joint.
