need help in finding my server

o.k, here's my story I've been doing this adult webmaster thing for a little over 3 years now. I took the last 4 or 5 months off and did nothing;) and loved it;) Anyway, I'm back and I'm getting ready to start building again. I've spent the last few days getting organized on my new laptop ( my old computer i used for webmastering crashed, so the past few days have not been fun;( btw i never backed up)

About a month before i took this "vacation" I transferred one of my domains from candid hosting to a different host. I was going to use the domain for tgp galleries 'cause the bandwidth was under a dollar a gig. I think i put out about 20 galleries on freesmutnow.com after the transfer and before the vacation. I cannot remember the host's name or URL, and since my old computer crashed I don't have any e-mails or receipts from them.

Now my question ->
Does anybody here know what host was using
NS1.DN.NET 207.153.206.126
NS2.DN.NET 161.58.158.45
as the dns about 5 months back. when i type in dn.net it takes me to verio.com. I've already contacted them and they couldn't find my domain in there database and couldn't help me with finding the host. Also, like i mentioned earlier, they charge just around a dollar/gig. So, if anyone knows of a host that uses that dns and charges about a dollar/gig, can you please post the URL. If you think it might be a few, post all the URL's I know once i see the name or the site I'll recognize it.

btw,
I had a bunch of free sites and about 20 galleries on that domain . If I don't find the host and since my old computer crashed, all the sites and galleries will be lost which is not really that big of a deal, but still SUCKS;( ya know

any help will greatly be appreciated

Brian

Did you pay a few months up front or were you billed monthly?

cheese 08-01-2002 10:02 AM

I was billed monthly. I'm gonna go find my old checking account statements to see when and if they stopped billing me.

There's so much shit to catch up on. I prolly won't get to building anything new until this weekend. Don't think i can jump back into 16 hour days just yet.

I ran a tracert on your ip addresses and it comes back as the sterling virginia datacenter for verio.

If you call verio again and have the sterling virginia facility contact you they can get you in touch with your hoster.

You can also use www.samspade.org to DIG on the DNS

or go to www.arin.net to do reverse lookups on IP's

dn.net is the old digitalnation.net, bought by verio more than a year ago, so yes it IS verio as already stated in this thread (it's NOT Datahosters)
