I think it gets stuff of your computer to your TV. Is that what tivo does?, I don't have one.

You can transfer and watch the stuff from your computer to it and then watch it on your tv set... movies, pictures, mp3s

I really wish they would've included a record feature and TV tuner. This is really just novelty, and doesn't provide a lot of functionality in my opinion.

I love my Mac toys, but I think I'll wait and see where this product goes..

wait, they call it apple tv, but you can't record or tune tv with it?

I think it's a half arsed product. Only works with iTunes, that means no divx, no wmv. Also, no 1080p.

Besides, only the US has movie and TV show iTunes content, so the rest of the world can probably skip the Apple TV. You're much better off with a mac mini.

Any new or updated Apple product is usually half-assed.
