Talladega Nights was AWFUL
 

Just finished it. I want my 2 hours back.

Somebody needs to tell Will Farrell that comedies are supposed to be funny. That guy is extremely overrated. The only movie of his that makes me laugh is Old School thanks to Vince Vaughn. Elf is "cute funny".

I really don't care for Ferrell either. I liked him in Anchorman though, rare exception I guess.

Great movie.

As of recent, Ferrel misses the mark with me (Anchorman, Kicking & Screaming, Bewitched, Elf to an extent, etc).

With consideration to the above movies, tired "I'm a manchild" act, in addition to the Nascar backdrop made me 2000% assured this movie would suck....well, it didn't. Faggot sheep. No way everyone in this thread found this movie unfunny - what the fuck, is it cool to "Internet agree" on forums about movies? Fucking homo salad.

I found it extremely amusing and ironic. The dumbness of the characters and the clichees made it funny.

I want to know how much Applebees payed them to have a fucking commercial in the movie...


I wonder if it compares to what AFF payed to be in this new movie coming out

They knew the movie wouldn't sell so well so they packed it with ads and sponsors, haha. Tons of advertising in the movie though.

Talladega wasnt HORRIBLE but it was no Old School i agree. BUT dont be insulting Kicking & Screaming, that was a good movie.

I just found the humor to be below average writing, even for will ferrel, the jokes were predictable and the plot line was just horrendous, and I like some of his movies too....Stranger Than Fiction was hilarious, Elf was great, and his appearances in a lot of movies is spot on...Talledega was just well, no offense to any specially able people here, comedy for retards

I had to fly to Atlanta and honestly, I was so fucking high, I remember the movie playing, but don't recall what happened.

I had people telling me the french guy was Sasha Cohen Baron, and I couldn't tell you if that's true or not.

I enjoyed it enough to watch through. There were a couple of lol moments, nothing more.

And yes the french guy is Borat.

Talladega Nights wasn't great, could have benefitted from losing 45 minutes. I only watched it because I have a crush on Leslie Bibb (Carly Bobby), who was very foxy in the short-lived Line Of Fire.

I thought it was hilarious. The problem is, you need to be halfway buzzed before you start the movie.. and continue drinking while you're watching it.

More and more comedies require me to drink in order to enjoy them fully...

I thought it was hysterical. Watched it on a plane back from Vegas and you could tell when the funny parts were because everyone would start laughing ;)
