Who knows a good email program?
 

Need to email members, needs to be able to grab data such as first name etc to use in email, and also have a auto remove system

anyone any input?

I think you're best using a whitelisted service than doing it yourself if you plan on getting into the major providers like MSN, AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc...

I use PHPList (phplist.com) It's a free open source PHP-based mailing list manager/mailer. Our members can sign up for the lists they want to be on, remove themselves, etc. and we can do mailings any time we want. It will manage a bunch of different lists, and it will also support emails to remove someone rather than them having to go to the website.

We've been using it for about a year.

For email newsletters I use www.ymlp.com

Bighip is toast? Bummer I was just looking at them.

Would love to hear more about your experiences with them? meaning support? not getting into boxes? etc. What do you mean by toast?
