coordinating work online (biz thread)

I'm sure someone had to have a solution for this.

When working with others online with different time zones and so on, it becomes a problem keeping up with what each person is doing.

I'm trying to find some sore of script I can throw up on a web-page that each person can log into to schedule out jobs and so on. Just need something that we can add jobs that need to be done and then be edited with updated info on that job and so on.

I'm sure someone has some sort of script to do this.. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hmm... I know some people (non-adult) use MS Project for stuff like this. Have you looked into that one?

"Project 2007
Stay informed by controlling your project work, schedule, and finances, and effectively communicate project data. Get started with the new Project. Download the new release, test it out in your browser, or buy it today."

We're starting to use MS Project to do exactly this.

I have been using google spreadsheets and calendar in a very unique way just for this matter.

MS project is pretty nice for that, might be overkill in case you are running a fairly small shop, but it's used widely in big corps...

hey rand.. try www.dotproject.com it's pretty good and it's open source so it's free to use :thumbsup

yea it looks nice but don't really want to spend $550 on something that does way more than I need. I'm just looking for something cheap and simple.

Just need to beable to post things that need to be done and then have the progress updated or the job closed out when finished.

Was thinking maybe even a simple ticket script would work.
