AVN Publications supports the .XXX Initiative?

I've been around for a little while, and decided to register when I started seeing all of these .xxx threads. Someone has recently informed me that AVN Publications is a strong supporter of the .XXX initiative. Can someone confirm this? I have no reason to doubt my source (and for those of you who ask who the source is, don't bother). What would this mean for the industry if they are indeed a supporter of the .XXX TLD? Can someone from AVN address this please? This is very shameful if it turns out to be true.

I love the smell of finger pointing and assumptions in the morning.

"Follow the money"

"Who stands to profit"

Don't be so quick to assume that it's an assumption.

Lack of solid proof equals assumption in my reality.

I checked once and was informed by AVN that although they initially supported it, once the ramifications became known, they backed off of it.

Just moments ago, I just asked Paul Fishbein for a comment about about .xxx, and here's what he said:

"At the very beginning, some people pushed us toward the .xxx and I originally thought we would support it. But almost immediately, when we talked to people and realized the ramifications (censorship and other reasons), we withdrew any support. We want what's best for the industry and our customers and clearly .xxx is not."

Don't want to suggest anything, but perhaps a letter to ICANN would be good?

AVN was on the record with me way back the last time this issue came up they dont support it.

If you look in my archives you will see that I challenged them as well...they had the good sense to answer
