adult & non adult whois info

For those of you who operate adult and non adult domains, do you separate your whois info. In other words different addresses, email addresses and phone numbers for your adult and non adult business?

I'm trying to decide whether to incorporate everything under one umbrella or to just keep the two separate.

It's all under one name for me. Accountant and lawyer likes it better that way.

Besides I could give a rats ass if someone finds out.

Hey JFPdude,

From chatting with you the other night I know that's the truth! LOL

Thanks for the input.

Exactly:) If you feel the need to hide, then maybe your in the wrong business?.. That is not directed to any 1 person, it's just a general opinion.:2 cents:

Is that why many, if not most, of the biggest players in adult have multiple companies with different names, often in different countries - because they're in the wrong business? :)

Keep Adult and Non adult seperate..

I mean.. what are you going to explain
to your clean cut mainstream customer
that wants to buy a design for his law
company:

"yes. we sell anal toys and pictures of exploited
teens with that other company..
BUT we do it fair so nothing to hide here!!
Sir.. dont act shallow: you love it too.. dont you?"

Do it seperate.. really..

I have to agree with MrThumbs & Mr. Fiction (very good points). I don't really think it's a matter of hiding or not having the balls to let people know what you do. People like saying things like "if you have to hide maybe you're in the wrong business". I laugh everytime I hear that. Everyone in my circle knows what I do. The question is geared more towards the business perspective. Do you think involvement in the adult industry would possibly keep mainstream clients away or make them think twice about involving themselves with you.

I suppose you might want to seperate your liability, especially if you have considerable assets to protect for either your adult or nonadult business.

Personally, I say close your non-adult business and do the p0rn0 full time! :thumbsup

Two separate companies, same address, same phone #.

I'm not anal about it, nor ashamed but it's easier as a casual topic of discussion. If someone wants to dig that little bit farther, then fine. I just don't need to shove it under their noses.

I have one company for both. However I do have 2 different domains for both companies. On my taxes I have just one LLC. But for my Non Adult Clients they can peek at a clean cut profile without porn sites and nekkid people ;-) and visa versa for the Adult Clients.

That might be one way to go. My accountant says its better to run it under one LLC, so did my lawyer.

It works for us and it might work for you. We had one client found out that I also did Porn Sites. He screamed bloody murder and tried suing us for 50k. I won that case. The judge basically said "She did not intentionally hide anything from you. You hired her on basis of her site blah blah.com and not on tapact.com
so.. there was no fraud (you should see that courtpaper, he accused me from everything, fraud, reputation of business, blah blah.. asshole!

He never made his last payment to us, we sued him and won and he went bankrupt. So judge for yourself how you want to handle this.
