Does anyone put their sites in their will?

I actually just updated mine - I treat it like all my other business assets. It even states who will run it if something happens to me and their salary. You never know and i want my wife and son covered no matter what :thumbsup

Not crazy at all. Anything of value should be in your will.

Yes everything is covered in my living trust.

I always wanted to know this : if you died but wanted to leave your sponsor checks to another person, is it possible to have them transferred to someone else? Like how would someone do this? Do you just have it written in your will and then would the attorney contact the sponsor???? If I die I'll still be having checks coming in for a long time.

Legally establish a business and a business name. Have all checks payable to that business. Zero sponsorship issues.

Thanks. That's a very good idea!

PS. If you happen to be in the US, also get an EIN and use that instead of your social security number. :2 cents:

Yup. This applies to domains too. Everything should be under your business name and EIN. Much cleaner at tax time and when you kick the bucket.

I'm gonna leave it all to a church and let them deal with the quandry of what to do with my porn dollars coming into their coffers... sure they can sell off my websites, but we have recurring revenue that will come in from many of our traffic sites for some time..... so what are they going to do with it?

kane 02-01-2007 04:45 AM

I have a living will and in it it states what to do with the sites. My brother and mom would have no idea how to even access them but I have a friend that would so in it I say that they should talk to him. I have some pretty detailed instructions on what to do with them. I would imagine that most people don't and if something suddenly happened to them they sites would sit dormant until the host shut them down for non-payment.
