Who else is running Vista?

So far I like it, I bought the Ultimate version and tried to install it, it got about half way through then crashed. It reverted back to Xp Pro and then I removed a few apps and installed IE7 and then installed again and it worked fine.

So far I think it's better then Xp, it sorta has me feeling the way I did when I first installed XP and then I was used to 2000.

Works on all the hardware I have, the officejet and the color laserjet. It has a slick way to update printer drivers now.

Not sure why people are scared to upgrade, all the apps I use on a daily basis work and it looks like a newer OS instead of a dated XP.

I like what I have used so far, will take time to get used to where some of the things are though. And hopefully I cna find network drivers for my onboard nic.

Have you found out where they moved the fucking run command to yet?

on any window/folder, hold shift and right click - it'll say something like "Open command window here"

Hmm, I can't imagine any advantages for me, my system is running fine with XP and all the latest updates...I don't see the point buying Vista. Long term, for sure, but I think it's a huge type build around some 3D desktop at the moment.

I am running it since yesterday, I noticed that yahoo messanger causes it to crash, its not compatable with norton anti-virus 2006 and a few drivers, but overall its not bad.

for those slamming vista, I upgraded for a couple of simple reasons, one is because I can, the 159$ for the upgrade is nothing plus since I run a business and I will have customers running it I need to have a machine with it incase they have problems.

I have XP Pro x64 and Vista 64 bit both running through dual boot.

I like both quite a lot for different reasons.

Have any of you done a fresh install or are most of you just upgrading?

I have it installed on one of comps, and i dont like it at all... not suporting too many programs i need... i guess i will wait 1 or 2 years to get service pack 2 or so,and completly change XP:)
