Good thing though I saw last night on cnn an aardvark had a divorce from it's mate at some zoo in chicago or something a few days ago.

Interesting! I wonder why the media didn't give it the press it deserves though, that doesn't make allot of sense to me.

hmm cheap cure for cancer...I wonder why it's not being talked about? OH! Right! That's because there's no money in healthy people!

And that is very sad but very true. They make billions from treating it, next to nothing by curing it.

Of course it won't make the mainstream news. There is relatively little money to be made in curing cancer. Sure, the original discovers would get fame and notoriety but the ones who actually get to "help" patients would see little money from it. Mega drug companies are only interested in $$$, they could care less about your health. When they are looking at a person with cancer they don't see them as a person, they see them as a dollar sign. Since mega drug companies won't be able to patent this potential wonder-drug, they have no incentive whatsoever to do trials with it or make it more effective. They would much rather treat a sick person and get hundreds of thousands of dollars per person in the process. They don't care if they live or die... just as long as they get a little more of that green in their pockets.

it's because as canadians, and we're notoriously uncapitalistic when it comes to peoples lives.. hey, we could have patented insulin!

However.. when it gets to the UK their would be a spark of interest. The health service here is "free at the point of delivery" and cancer costs a fortune to treat. Our health service would benefit massivly by curing cancer. Would save a fortune.

We can only hope that the funding will come from countries who fund the health service nationally.

BTW whole different argument, but THIS is why i dont believe in a private health care system.

Listen folks we have much more important things to worry about like Al Gores possibly oscar winning documentary about Global Warming!

Hope so :disgust So many people needlessly are dying if this treatment is as effective as it looks. It's just so... evil... for them to let people die for some extra green in their pockets.

I'm sure every health insurance company in the US is doing everything to stop this medication.

well if the compound DCA is already on the market and it's side effects are known to be tolerable I would expect a huge number of families with somebody with terminal cancer to be getting their hands on it from offshore and doing their own treatment. what does somebody who is terminal have to lose?

a cheap cancer treatment or cure would cost the drug and cancer treatment industry billions but i really do find it hard to believe they would work against something like this - for one reason - those people, their parents, their children, their friends get cancer too.

no money in finding cures for stuff, more profitable to sell pills that don't work :thumbsup

if cancer is cured, the governments will simply release a new disease to keep people sick and buying drugs...treatment etc...

Where is NIH or the CDC in all this - can't they just produce the wonder drugs that work wonders?
