How Much Money Do You Earn From Your Blog?

Hey all:thumbsup
As I have mentioned before...I am totally new to this industry, and therefore pretty clueless:winkwink: I only found GFY through selling adult domain names, but now I am here, it has started to interest me quite a lot. I have been thinking about starting my own adult blog up (reviewing/talking about sites that I want to promote). I was just hoping that some of you, who do this already, could tell me how much you earn from your blog...and any other advice that I would need in order to get started! That would be awesome...cheers:thumbsup

Hey! If you are totally new in this:
1. Take the hosthead.com because they will help you with anything and the price is cheapest. The guys from there installed me wordpress for free, they helped me a lot and they answer very quick at emails or icq! That is what you need!
2. You need traffic! Without traffic your sales are dead! I advice you to buy traffic from Traffic Holder because they are the cheapest and they have very good traffic. I made sales after I purchase traffic from them and they always helped me when I didn`t knew what I need... The secret is to buy targeting traffic. At the beginning I bought mature traffic for a teen blog and they advice me to stop that traffic and buy what I need. They are good people....
3. You must be prepaire for good times and bad times!
4. I wish you all the luck! :thumbsup

Onixia 01-31-2007 05:11 AM

a step-by-step newbie tutorial would be of great help

reynold 02-05-2007 08:39 PM

It depends on your blog. If your blog is the typical "TGP converted to Blog" pile of shit, then all bets are off. However, if you actually drive QUALIFIED and LOYAL traffic to your blog and feature custom content with deep text content and SEO-targetted, I'd say you will make more than your costs and will have an upward traffic trajectory.

Here's a tip: for blog traffic tips, try subscribing to many mainstream newsletters for helpful traffic generation advice

kin3tic 02-05-2007 09:08 PM

That's easy..

None, everyone knows there's no money in blogs. :thumbsup

After Shock Media 02-05-2007 09:12 PM

I have lost 307.99 so far to my blog. Not including any hosting costs which would be next to impossible for me to figure out.

I purchased one, sort of forgot about it cause I got real busy with my other main projects. Just had to renew domain name. Good news I guess is it still gets traffic and well the former owner may be making something from it. I never swaped out his codes yet.

DaddyHalbucks 02-05-2007 09:19 PM

One blog, forget it.

A network of dozens of blogs, all interlinked, and several years of time, now you are talking.

reynold 02-05-2007 10:28 PM

Another tip: read johnchow.com That mofo sure has some good advice re how to monetize a blog!

Tons of crap = more crap. Why not focus on building a LOT of quality shit?

fallenmuffin 02-05-2007 10:44 PM

I have two blogs both hosted on Blogger.com :upsidedow

One does roughly 440 UV daily and the other around 40 UV daily.

The main one does on average $405.20 per month.

The secondary one does about $10 per month.

Traffic, as stated earilier, is key. However not the amount of traffic but the quaility. This is true to any site though. Keep the traffic highly targeted and keep your blog niched.

Corleone 02-05-2007 11:51 PM

not enough
