It was solved (Not by Bill Gates mind you) Systems like spamarrest mailblocks etc. block spam 100% No one's implemented it ISP wide though.

Although MailBlocks was bought out by AOL for something like 8 million back in the day, I don't believe they ever added it to their system.

EscortBiz 01-29-2007 08:17 PM

when they have it solved im sure they will spam the solution to everyone

RRRED 01-29-2007 08:20 PM

It's hardly solved if 80-90% of email traffic is spam, and if you asked internet users what their number one complaint about internet is, most would say it's spam... It's almost like a motorcycle owner claiming there is no problem finding a free parking space downtown NY or Chicago... (I know, bad analogy :1orglaugh)

seeric 01-29-2007 08:37 PM

i am yet to find a spam program that does not trap email that is not spam. not one and i have tried damn near every one.

i gave up, run filters and spend 15-20 min a day weeding it out. if my customers get caught in spam programs they chargeback. fuck that.

the reason i think they will never beat spam is you are constantly working against other human brains just as smart if not smarter than the developers of the software to filter spam.

ThreeDeviants 01-29-2007 08:45 PM

solved? no, reduced? maybe heh... granted my inbox still gets inundated with junk every minute

I meant the technology to solve it is out there and has been for years. It would just need to be implemented by every major ISP which so far hasn't happened.

He's waiting for Apple to do it, so he can copy them.

StuBradley 01-29-2007 09:38 PM

I eliminated all spam with Spam Arrest. I get over 4,000 emails a day to my main account alone (see pic) 98.8% of which is spam.

I depend on ICQ and text messages over emails these days.

My spam filter filters out people that are in my address half the time. Often times I never see emails.

Fizzgig 01-29-2007 11:00 PM

No spam sounds good to me!

Hollywood376 01-29-2007 11:07 PM

You know, if I'd just open some of those emails I'd be richer, thinner and my cock would be hard 24/7. It says so right in the subject line.

Phoenix 01-29-2007 11:39 PM

go bill...save the world from the turrible spammers..lol

what a load of crap

Doctor Dre 01-29-2007 11:41 PM

I don't know about you but I don't get any spam in my email accs (except the porn ones, but you can't really do anything about that)

starpimps 01-29-2007 11:42 PM

once spam is solved, im sure someone will make spam2.0 and that will be the new medium
