All threads now scroll at the speed of dinosaur shit

And believe me, I've talked to several experts in the field, they all confirm that dinosaur shit did in fact move slower than snail shit, and we all know how slow snail shit moves.

We talkin' slowwwwwww.

Screaming 01-29-2007 02:49 PM

You could offer them more money to remove the skin then what they got paid for it.

Good luck.

Am I the only person who isn't seeing any speed decreases at all?

I do have flashblock on... Does flash really slow the site down that much? I almost never run the embedded movies on any sites :helpme

HAPPYPEEKERS 01-29-2007 02:50 PM

crockett 01-29-2007 02:51 PM

yea this sucks.. slow as hell.. Even typing this message I'm getting lagg

Not even worth reading any posts until they fix the shit.

Crazy Ben 01-29-2007 02:52 PM

I typed the last few posts in a blank email first, then cut/pasted them into the board. Typing it directly into the post box wasn't working too well.

Things seem to be improving speed-wise now though.

The shock of the new skin and the resulting 473 "new skin sucks" threads must be what did it. :1orglaugh

Fap 01-29-2007 03:02 PM

Maybe its a video card driver issue? Everything works fine for me.

Nysus 01-30-2007 01:20 AM

The problem was NOT with flash files, the design of the skin, or HushMoney. The problem was a major security flaw found in Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7. If only Microsoft would actually follow standards defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (http://www.w3.org) this would NOT have happened.

Guilty as charged then.

Say, does this have anything to do coincidentally or otherwise with the fact that Bill Gates was on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night?

That guy is up to something, I just know it.

Running a brand new dual core 2.6 ghz that does everything it's supposed to mindfuckingly fast.

Can't speak for anyone else.

I wasn't suggesting any particular reason for the slowdown, which by the way seems to have dissipated. Was merely reporting a noticeable slowdown on the board (while being my usual irresistably funny self in the process).

I should think the powers that be would want to know such things, and be aware of any problems the herd is experiencing. Call me crazy. :D

It was really bad on Safari last night on my Mac where the thread backgrounds appeared transparent. Being on a different machine now I see a black background to the threads and seems to be working ok on the PC/IE .

Last night it was impossible though.

Speed is normal for me. I'm using FF. Is it an IE/FF thing?
