Behind and below Niagara Falls [pics]
Well, last night was the night. Finally got into the outfall tunnels below the Toronto Power Company powerstation - the tunnels that exit behind the Niagara fall curtain.

How did you manage that? I have gone to NF a gazillion times, took the "behind the falls" tour, but it wasn't those tunnels. I would love to see that

The place was off the hook.
Similar situation this time as well - there's 24 hour security on the building, sitting in a spot with perfect view across the entire place. We managed to ninja in unseen - make our way to the second floor, unbolt and shift the steel plates to the staircase, and spiral our way down the rusted to shit staircase 8 stories down.. all the time in the artificial rain from the leaking building... then head to the tailrace tunnels.. rig our lines, and abseil into the tunnels.. You can walk and wade right to the edge of the falls. Luckily, the ps has been abandoned for long enough that there's not a 'switch to flip'! :) |

you guys are nuts! where do you get the plans to these buildings so you at least know where you are and where you're going once you get inside?
getting in is one thing but man it must suck getting out when you're exhausted. |
