know anyone with a heated driveway?
they're like 10k installed, cant tell if that includes the concrete. I do not understand why this isn't standard in the midwest.
|
thats a good idea... i take it they use those tubes under it and flow hot water and such through em?

that's nice .. I have a big driveway and it would save money in the long run if it holds up ..
|
Wouldn't your car's tires melt or caught fire?

Anywho My dad's garage has a heated floor in it. Works pretty slick. Great for North West Pa when you are climbing under a car in January. |
damn thats a good idea
|
In Australia we'd run chilled water through the pipes. :1orglaugh
(It dips below freezing about 2 times a year where I live. For a few hours in the morning.) |

Ah... so it's winter now in civilized world?? Never noticed :)
The sun heats my driveway consistantly all year round and the pool is at... a decent jacuzzi temperature. Sounds strange... was speaking with someone who had never actually stood in snow and asked what it felt like - told them they don't want to know ;-) |
10K seems cheap for a heated concrete driveway
|
I would say the mid-east and north would have more use for it
|
on a side note, i never understood why kansas was considered the midwest, and some of those other states in the "midwest" are pretty damn north to me

heated driveways are bullshit anyways.... buy a rover and forget about it. cant afford a rover? get a rubicon, cant afford a rubicon? get out of the porn biz and get a real job. after you make a few bucks... buy a really old truck or jeep and mount a plow on it. problem solved.... permantently. |

I sure as fuck wouldn't need that here. :)
|
I don't know of anyone who has that. Donald Trump probably.
|
a friend of mine in Miami has one.. but it malfunctions and goes over 100F most of the time
|
i've heard of them but i just figgured it was cheaper to hire a snow clearing service.
one might think it would get bogged up with too much snow... but then again - if it worked on the driveway and sidewalk to the house might be a great idea. all depends on heating costs too though if it's economically viable but if the house is geothermal heat and it's fed though that might not be a bad idea and would be cheap to do as well :2 cents: |
