Any hosts out there that can offer 5000+ ips across different subnets?
 

Note: I'm not looking to spam or do any sort of SEO here. I'm just looking to farm gold in World of Warcraft, so there's absolutely no worry about having your IP's blacklisted or anything.

Now that that is out of the way, how much would would about 5k IP's spread across different subnets cost me? Not every single IP has to be on a different subnet, but 15 ip's per /24 is the most that's acceptable. Also it'll be around July/August before I'm ready to get things deployed this large scale so I'm just looking to get an idea of how much this'll cost me for now.

:1orglaugh wow I don't know of any for less then 10k and up a month, just the paper work to get that many would be tens thousands in time over a year. Then they actually have to get approved and justify each one.

thats a lot of ip space, i got hell when asking for 256 ips. 5000 will be a migraine headache

that simple setup there I run from home averages $1250/day on only one server/faction. Now there's around 260 servers and 2 different factions so it shouldn't be too hard covering whatever expenses as i start doing things on a larger scale :)

Yeah, like i said I wasn't quite interested in buying anything yet and just wanted to get a feel for how much it would cost me. Then it makes me a bit nervous since you'd think someone that legitimately has than many IP addresses at their disposal would have more methods of contact than just aim like phone/email/fax or even icq at a minimum.

Its just a friend of mine who deals in stuff alot like what you are doing. He needed a diff ip going out on every connection he does.

Hes not a hosting company, but works with one that set him up with all that he needed.

i think it would be more like 10000 a month which i will tell you is double what i normally charge plus servers which would be 80 of them at, hmm lets give you a bro deal, 88 bucks a server. call the whole thing 16,750 month. this is a real price but gettin that many ip's is a hassle and not sure i could really do it, but that would be my price. hope that helps

people with that many IP's fly pretty far under the radar. besides, you need them, they dont need you, so you generally contact them using their prefered method...

besides... ebay pulled all their videogame currency/item auctions today...

Geez, WoW is one of the worst MMORPG's avaliable. I played for the first month free and sold my level60 character for $700NZD and quit. I thought i did well for a month. But Damn, $1250 a day... I would use that to pay morgages and start property investment.

Buy house > Put people in renting, if it was a 300k, you could pay that in 9 months with your current setup.

While I have access to a lot of IPs that is not a request I could have ready in a couple of weeks thats for sure.
