.XXX Road map to take it down either way...

I just got off the phone with Tom Hymes from Xbiz...he is very much still fighting against this .XXX...i know a way that this can be defeated even if this gets passed and for me that is even better, cause if they spent millions to get this thru not seeing it work would be even better in my mind.

There is a way to protect your trade mark, and taking the issue up with ICANN...not buying the domains and re directing to your .com is the way to defeat this issue...and at that point all they have is a new domain .XXX that nobody is part of.

Fear based sales is the key to there success a very well thought out plan is in the works at this time to put together owners of companies at small and large level to counter what is happening...

So what i say is this....if it means that much to them and they want to take charge of our business we all have worked so hard to create....dont let them, and its simple...like in any biz ..protect your "trademark" file on your own behalf with a lawyer, Jeffery Douglas is our lawyer and will file to protect us, we will stand back and not buy the Smashbucks mark on .XXX, if any one trys to appear to be us we sue there brains out...simple.

At that time we dont "buy into "there idea of we or us or anybody "having to" buy this .XXX....simple.

So to recap...the only way this will become hurtful or become an issue is if we let it, that is by "buying into" or spending 1 penny to buy a domain we clearly dont need.

:2 cents:

Thinking that no one is going to register *.xxx is naive. Also thinking that country after country isn't going to attempt to mandate its use is also naive.

Also

Thinking that large ISP after large ISP isn't going to block adult that isn't on *.xxx or in reverse block all of *.xxx is also naive.

.XXX is going to be a major cluster fuck for this industry if passed.

Except, that is, for those on the "in".

I don't see companies with 100's or even 1000's of domains runing out and buying the .xxx's for all of them, especially at the premium discussed. I do know that we sue when someone uses one of our domains in another country like .co.uk so I can only imagine companies will be more Diligent in defending their ™ on .xxx domains. This is easily monitored vs every countries domain.

All good points

I also assure you the porn.xxx, bdsm.xxx, etc... Deals are already done! It would certainly be poetic justice if .xxx never got passed, and or never were marketed and conditioned into the surfer.

it's okay... .XXX "if passed" would almost certainly end up in US federal courts as an unfair restriction of free speech. There is no justification for a private company putting a 900% tax on adult sites (going from $7 per domain to $75 per domain).

There there would be the wave of "previous ownership" lawsuits, the inevitable blockages of everything adult by ISPs, common carriers, and the owners of various data interchanges. I can picture hosting companies getting their IP blocks dropped by christian owned service providers, who will just by accident happen to drop the routes randomly. I can see these hosting companies basically having to stop hosting any adult material in order to keep their non-adult customers in connectivity.

Every step of the way, .XXX facilitates denial of free speech, and as such, will easily be defeated if ever passed by ICANN. They are smart enough to know that they can't make it happen, so they will come up with another excuse to make it not happen.

If it does pass, you can expect the US government to also move against it.

RawAlex...hoping that US Govt jumps in to stop this....

Its not done YET....in Florida at Internext the .XXX group all had "shit eating grins" on there faces ...telling me "hey its a done deal..give up and deal with it" ...lol...my response was "its not over"....we won that battle..

I am not giving up dont get me wrong, i want to fight these guys all the way down to the end of the line, but they somehow pulled a Rabbit out of the hat and got it back up and running and people interested in it..

Its like a cold sore that wont go away, it needs to be stepped on until dead....but its being done all now behind closed doors and it would seem at this point not a thing can be done on our part...

I will tell you that we will use ever law and court to up hold our hard earned work and the theft of that if it comes down to that...all our legal guns are loaded ..so to speak and ready for a dog fight....

Just sucks ...it really does.....

BoyAlley...you get it ....why it so hard for everyone else to get it?
Why did it take so long ...for everyone to wake up....there are still those who have not a single clue...

As i said i was in Toronto at that show ...lol...when the vote came down against .XXX ..NOT A SINGLE PERSON the rest of the show talked about it or even brought it up...clueless...

Hope it doesnt happen...done just about everything we could on our part ....up to this point...so we hope and see ....if that dont work then the legal process starts....
