Propecia - does it work?

Anyone have any experience with Propecia?
My hairline is going backwards, fast!!

Is it true that the sexdrive is affected by it?
( Not that I ever get laid anymore, but hey... )

My friend used it and it worked wonders for him.

it will slow things down definitely... only messes with sex drive in a few guys, you'd know it becasue you'd feel shitty and not horny

I have read that there is no scientific evidence that it will help getting hair back above the temples, but I have also seen an article that claims it will ( 50/50 ).
I think I am gonna give it a shot, and if it fails, I'll just shave it off again.
Problem is with the shave-off I need to have a tan all the time, or I will look like a cancer-patient.

You look like a cancer-patient anyway, doesn't matter if your tanned or not....idiot!

I don't think I'd feel shittier than if I had no hair.

My hairline is going back at the same time that the bald spot in the back is coming forward. I need a pet chipmunk, so I can put it in back, there.

Thanks for being a test patient who's results I can trust.

Let me know how it works for you. If you're shaved bald at the next show I guess I'll know how things went.

it does work, but be warned about the sides... they are a big enough caveat that i'd rather just lose my hair (and i am losing it, lol).

propecia is a weaker form of the drug Avodart, which is used to treat prostate problems... this drug is an estrogen antagonist, and elevates the levels of estrogen in a mans body while inhibiting testosterone binding. it is only a side effect that hair loss is stopped/reversed by this process, as men who suffer from the common "male pattern baldness" lose their hair due to hormone binding at the follicle. w/ Avodart your prostate swelling decreases for the same reason, free estrogen levels climbing to unnatural levels.

propecia does work as advertised, don't get me wrong... but, you must remain on it or the new growth will fall back out gradually, and you will also feel to some degree the dreaded side-effects: itching/tenderness of the nipples and breast tissue, swelling of the breast tissue in some cases (also known as "gyno"), clearing up of skin and general softness of skin (not a bad side, lol) and the worst of the bunch, limp-dick syndrome. your technically suppressing your bodies natural test production and increasing your free estrogen levels. this isn't to the extent that trannies/katoeys go in their transformation but there is a definite similarity... some who are more sensitive to hormone levels will also experience emotional states and the like, akin to when women go through their elevated cycle monthly.

some bodybuilders try out propecia since they are losing their hair due to external testosterone sources, but its such a yo-yo effect most don't bother after experiencing the sides... older guys seem to handle propecia/avodart better than younger, but don't know if thats due to them not caring as much about getting laid or the effect is less pronounced in them.

sorry, i'd rather just shave my head, and will end up doing just that some day... i'd rather be bald w/ a raging proper hard-on than an ugly tranny w/ a limp dick and a full head of hair, maybe thats just me though..!

:)

been on it since i was 19, 31 now, boy was it expensive when i was making 4.50 an hour

it works, very rare for anyone to lose sex drive, it stopped my hair loss so that i did not lose any more hair, then i got hair transplants to put the rest back, its amazing what you can do when you have enough passion about it

i remember being real depressed that i was losing my hair, now its a non-issue, dont ask for pics tho, im not that ballsy
