Jim Carrey "The No. 23"

The Number 23 looks like it might be alright.

And when I saw there was a movie called "Hot Fuzz" I thought it would be something totally different. Occupational hazard, always thinking dirty.

JD 01-26-2007 04:35 PM

it's a little weird to see Jim Carrey in a non-humor movie, but he looks like he might have just pulled it off. Looks pretty creepy

GhazAllOva 01-26-2007 05:07 PM

ah and here I was thinking it was a movie about Jordan. I like Jim Carrey, even in drama. Will see how this one plays out.

chupacabra 01-26-2007 05:18 PM

hail eris, hail discord..! ;)

reynold 01-29-2007 03:10 AM

who 01-29-2007 05:39 AM

hehe hot fuzz ;)

Vendot 01-29-2007 05:55 AM

Wtf? It just looks like another formula piece of shit, with a guy going crazy and then lots of shots in the trailer of him with his hair fucked, running from something and bullshit.

I hope it turns out to be good but the premise is just dumber than dumb

PussyTeenies 01-29-2007 05:55 AM

trailer is very good

only i don't like jim in a non humor movie.. last one i didn't liked so much

Onixia 01-29-2007 06:29 AM

Onixia 01-29-2007 06:46 AM

I like him in `How the Grinch Stole Christmas` but never seen him in a non-humor movie :(

DeadFidel 01-29-2007 06:52 AM

I want to see Jim play Patrick McMurphy in a remake of "One flew over the cuckoo's nest"

Jace 01-29-2007 06:56 AM

I think jim carey is just horrible in that typical brainless comedy role he does....I love seeing him play drama roles

brainless comedy just pisses me off, ace ventura, something about mary, etc.....lowest common denominator comedy pandering the brainless idiots around the globe

sorry...hehe...rant

gornyhuy 01-29-2007 07:06 AM

He was really good in Spotless Mind. He def needs more drama roles.

stickyfingerz 01-29-2007 07:29 AM

Ok that looks really good. And I love HD trailers! :winkwink: :thumbsup

lusciousness 01-29-2007 08:57 AM

seems a bit odd to see Jim Carrey on these kind of role...didnt recognized him on the first glance

cpt. insaino 01-29-2007 09:12 AM

I saw the previews at the theatre. Although it looks like it might be alright, it's really an odd role for him!

Zuzana Designs 01-29-2007 09:34 AM

I saw the previews It looks ok..

RevSand 01-29-2007 10:06 AM

Looks like a wait and see to me.. I am not gonna run out and see it right away but will wait to hear how it is.. It looks like it can go either way to me.

He's had a few.

On a side note, I got thrown out of the New York premiere of one of them, "Man On The Moon" the story about Andy Kaufman's life. Got booted for asking Danny DeVito if they were going to give him a phone book to sit on during the movie.:pimp

sweetpurple04 01-29-2007 10:09 AM

don't like him.. overactor...

Jim Carrey is a good actor he can handle different roles. I mean he did well in:
The Truman Show
The Majestic

No it's not pandering.

Not every movie has to change your life, open your eyes to something new, heal the sick kid, save the marriage or the world, sometimes they just need to make you laugh.

Jim Carey is a good actor. He adapts to many different roles. He has done a number of non comedic films and did well in all of them. This looks like it will be an interesting movie.

I thought he was great in all those. I like him in comedies and dramas.

Hello, my name is Paul...and I am a Jim Carrey fan. Now I can start my recovery.

Chrome 01-29-2007 06:30 PM

I think this is right up jim's alley. he loves the dark shit so i'm sure he'll really put on a spectacular performance. I loved his dark character in cable guy. If you look back at his history you can see he's always loved the edgy stuff... i think that when he started signing with the big studios he was kind of pidgeon holed into the spaztic silly comedy stuff.

ayne468 01-29-2007 06:39 PM

IMHO anything with Jim Carrey in it is worth seeing:) He is a legend!

I guess I said it wrong, I didn't mean to sound like a movie nazi....I love movies and I love comedy, but I get really irritated when there is so much stupid comedy that it starts to take over and no other form of comedy gets released. a good example: eddie murphy and that idiot tyler perry...there used to be great comedy released, now because some idiots dressed up as different people and that became a trend, that is all we see now, and when someone goes to make a comedy different than that they try so hard not to be that it fails miserably.

but the catch 22 is that the nation is becoming dumber each year, the majority of people would rather see shitty humor playing dress up.....Idiocracy was a stupid fucking movie that I would never watch again, but it's main point sunk in very well, if we continue making our kids dumber and dumber the world is going to be a sad place, and because our kids and parents are so dumb already, movies like Madea and Epic Movie are hugely popular

rant v2 complete

Vitasoy 01-29-2007 08:02 PM

Does look interesting, I'll check it out

tony286 01-29-2007 08:34 PM
