With comus you can create a search page to cover all the niches or catagories you want, with that many catagories, better have a beefy server

You need the set-up that caches the page for max 24 hours , that way each hit to a cat will be to a cached page once it has been requested the first time, it's a very cool set up for separating your traffic

Comus isn't a good choice for this kind of site. Generating static HTML is the only way to go for a project like this.

Why?
Comus can be used as a directory for all your niches and does it in a way that's intelligent! Once a cat is selected by a surfer, that surfer will see your main page of that niche and you can also add in the archive pages. All dynamically generated.

Because of server load. You don't want to serve dynamic content on 3000+ pages if you have any real traffic. Like I said, static HTML is the only way to fly.
